I remember subbing to your channel when you had SUUUUUUPER super long nails! I remember this blue polish 😭 when my polishes get gloopy like that, I get nail polish thinner since polish remover and degrade the polish over time! all you need is a TEENY tiny drop and it's just like new!

Can I be a little annoying and give you some tips/recommendations?? hahahahah First, instead of using nail polish remover to save dry polish, I would recomend you to use an actual nail polish thinner. Those are formulated especifically for this purpose and they preserve 100% of the nail polish characteristics and quality. And are super easy to find at the drugstore. And second: I totally recomend you to try using a "pure" top coat, instead of the 2 in 1 formula. It will not only make your manicure last A LOT longer, but will also help it to dry so much faster, and with no dents or wierd marks... Even when I have nail polish bubbles, a good top coat totally saves my manicure. I absolutely love your manicure videos!! You are awesome Isabella! Much love from Brasil (:

Rubbing alcohol / isopropyl alcohol, or a proper nail dehydrator, even distilled vinegar, also works very well, and is a lot less harsh than acetone. I know as I used to do it, then started with the acetone and my nail health has seriously declined since I tried that. So reverting back to tried and trusted... For me personally. Of course, everybody’s nails are different, and may be able to go with acetone alone.

Tap the surface of your nails against each other after washing your hands to know if it’s 100% dried - if it feels a tiny bit sticky, then it means you could still smudge it or make dents. If it feels like marbles, then it’s completely dry. This trick has been a life-saver. I do it after washing my hands because sometimes if the nails have a bit of oil or grease, it will feel like marbles and I’d think it was fully dry but it wasn’t

Hey thank you for this video I really needed it... sometimes when I'm extra anxious or feeling down my nails get neglected and now you've inspired me to take care of them again ☺💅🏼 also, I've seen other comments saying this but DO NOT put nail varnish remover in your nail polish, instead use a nail polish thinner please! And before painting your nails it's better to have them dry out, I'd recommend a nail dehydrater- so don't apply the polish right after cleaning your nails in water and leave cuticle oil until after you've finished painting- nails will hold onto the water and oil and this actually like, plumps up your nails and softens them and changes their shape... then if you cover them in this state with polish, once they dry out under the polish they are less 'plump' (hydrated) and the shape goes back, making the polish chip and crack (hope that makes sense)... having the water and oil trapped under the polish also increases staining pretty dramatically. Also, I hardly ever push my cuticles back, I just leave them, and my nails grow so so fast, to me it actually feels wrong to push back your cuticles as far down as you do, because they're there to protect. Finally, maybe you have good reason for not painting up to the cuticle but I always paint as close to the cuticle as I can, because yours kind of look already grown out a little by having the gap if you know what I mean. However I do love the tip about leaving a really good amount of time between layers... if I'm lounging at home for a couple days and not doing much I will take the old polish off in the morning, and then apply some nail strengthening base coat (perhaps two layers of this), then that night I'll apply the first layer of polish... then the next morning I'll apply the second coat of polish, and then that afternoon apply the top coat... its a lot of time to wait but it is so worth it to me- my nails last so much longer when each layer is fully dry (could do this every Saturday and Sunday). Also, another final tip from me is to apply base coat and top coat to the back of your nails and the top and the sides of your nails... 1 it just helps to seal down the polish and 2 it makes your nails stronger with the extra layers underneath. I just wanted to write out this comment to help and give advice to you and anyone else watching this video- I hope you don't take it the wrong way, I'm not telling you what to do, I just wanted to offer some advice from experience 😊 love your videos, thank you for making them 🥰❤

Nail oil: You shouldnt use a random cuticle oil since most of the random one's use vegetable oil, Whice sit's on top of your nail expect of soaking in the nail hydrating it, I recommend using pure jojoba oil, And if that's a little to thin for you, you can always mix in vitamin - E oil. And make sure oil your cuticle's and nails 4-6 times a day! Make sure to the underneath of your nails! Nailpolish staining: Use a stain protecting base coat! Cuticles: Use a cuticle remover, It's liquid you put on your grown cuticles and you let it sit for a while then you gently scrape it off with a rubber or wooden cuticle stick, When you scrape it off, It scrapes your cuticles off too, Don't leave it on for too long it eats your skin! Make sure to wash your hands after wards! And any of you tend to bite your nails use a base coat that is for people who bite their nails, I forgot what it's called.

Heyy soo first if all what I noticed from myself is that, a girls hands if they like a manicure, represent their mental state, so I hope that you are doing well!! I will mostly stop when I am doing better, but if it helps I use a ‘stop biting’ nail polish which just tastes bitter, and prevents me from biting my nails. And I also noticed if I do a ‘daily ‘ nail routine I will also stop to bite my skin around my nails, cause I put a lot of work on it and I don’t want to ‘destroy’ or get a set back on my hands health or nail/ nailskin health. Take care of yourself 💕

Love the video!! Amazing anxiety reliever. My side hustle is earning money by working with nail polishes. Working with brands in swatching nail polish as well as helping in production by aiding in feedback in terms of formulation, wear-time etc. I know and love nail polish, I have about 1000 bottles, if not over. I died inside when you added remover to the bottle. Pro-tip! It’s so much better to invest in a good quality nail polish THINNER rather than adding a remover. It’s not a good idea to add a substance designed to disintegrate polish into nail polish you want to fix. It screws with the formula and the polish will become gloopier quicker than it originally did. 2. Thinner contains the exact ingredients that nail polish inevitably loses over time with repeated use. Remover would just add a tonne of solvents and moisturising oils that the polish didn’t have in the first place, and definitely doesn’t need. I guess if you’ve never had a problem with the formula with your current method, absolutely go nuts. I speak from my own experience working with polish so long, that the more you add remover the closer you come to completely rendering your nail polish useless. I hope you end up reading this, and hope I mean absolutely no ill upon the remover method or your own choices xx keep up the amazing work!

I'm so jealous that Isabella can grow her natural nails out insanely long, but don't listen to her nail polish application tips if you want your mani to last lol

@.@ nail polish remover is a quick fix,but it will destroy your nail polish over time. You can find nail polish thinner and beauty or nail polish stores. I have some 10 year old nail polishes that are like new.

don't take it the wrong way but you are making some mistakes. You shouldn't soak your nails in water and wash them after using acetone - nails soak up water, expand and retain moisture, when they dry they change shape and the polish chips off (just like wood). Secondly using 2 in1 base&top is like using 2in1 shampoo, a good base is supposed to bind the polish to the nail and a top is supposed to isolate from the environment. Also putting cuticle oil before painting will cause chipping - polish doesn't bind to oli. A good hydrating oil after a manicure and pushing back your cuticles should be enough, you don't need to use scissors, it's really easy to damage the eponychium. I just want to help!

This is a really good routine the only thing i would point out is that both base and top coats are not the best

Love your videos Isabella but everyone should know that you should NEVER put nail polish remover in your polishes under any circumstances! This will ruin your nail polishes... you are better off getting a small bottle of NAIL POLISH THINNER, which can easily be found online!

@@IsabellaDemarko On a chemical level it will change your polish. Nail polish gets thick because it has chemicals which evaporate out. The nail polish thinner adds these chemicals back into the polish. Acetone and nail polish remover is meant to take off nail polish and therefore will thin your nail polish out by actually eating away at it, which could leave to further damage down the line. I am glad you haven't had any trouble so far but I am just trying to help!
