She was also nominated back in 1976 for the story of Adele H for best actress. She was just 20 years old at the time, and at that time she was the youngest best actress nominee-a record which she held for 28 years, until she was surpassed by Keisha Castle Hughes for Whale Rider in 2004 (who was 13 at the time of her nomination), and that record was surpassed 9 years later, by Quvezhane Wallis, who was 9 years old when she was nominated.

does anyone know where she learned english? I've never seen a french actor speak english this good. The ones who do, are either half english or american.
@ninalempicka29484 жыл бұрын
I don't know where she learned English but there are plenty of French actors who are fluent in English without having an "English" background (check out Marion Cotillard, Eva Green, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu or Lucas Bravo for instance)

Her father was not born in France, maybe her mother too, so she has an outsider perspective in that way that may have given her some help
@ninalempicka29484 жыл бұрын
@@guilliannecumberland1397 her father is Algerian and her mother is German though I doubt they spoke their mother tongues around her, sadly back then foreigners were required to "erase" their roots so they could fit better in the French society

If you go around with the natives so often, it isn't hard to speak english well. Meanwhile, english isn't the most difficult language in the world.

There is so much knowledge there is so much wisdom if you listen carefully the truth can only be shared between Buddhas in other words art can only be shared with other artists listen to when they ask her why she's wearing sunglasses and listen to her answer because my eyes are irritated this is the absolute truth her eyes are irritated by too much ignorance or too many people trying to suck her energy like Klaus Kinski did
