A camera can catch images but not the feelings. An artist has to do with feelings not to do with images. Artist can replace the camera but the camera can't replace the artist. The drawing is such that it draws all my attention, it touches my heart. A realistic picture is not a photocopy but it is the life speaking through the strockes of the brush. Mind-blowing art. You're so talented. People who can draw like this are just wired to do it. It doesn't seem possible to teach anyone how to do it; it takes training, but the raw talent MUST be there. En toute humilité, je n'ai rien inventé. Ces techniques étaient employées par d'autres peintres avant moi. C'est vrai que dans ce cas-ci, cela peut parfois paraître déroutant mais à un moment donné, tout prend forme et c'est magique. C'est exactement la raison pour laquelle j'ai commencé à publier mes vidéos, pour que les gens voient les étapes et réalisent que ce n'est pas terminé tant que ce n'est pas terminé! A lovely portrait Isabelle and a lovely example of alla prima. It has so much more life than just a hyper realistic image. Inspiring!

I know it's a bit confusing... In fact Paul, an Alla Prima painting is executed in a single sitting. In this case, I rather used a glazing technique where several coats were applied, letting it dry each time, requiring several weeks of work... I hope I've been able to clarify this for you!

@@IsabelleRichardArt Yes probably loosely applied to its meaning considering some of the styles today, probably more of a limited palette technique. I know many Artists who use an Alla prima methodology but obviously layer from the blocking in stage to putting the fine details in at the end. Really it is whatever works for you the artist, just great to see Artists doing their thing. I love connecting with Artists especially as an Art Teacher and Designer as it inspires my students. I am also married to one. All the very best for 2021 :)

Looking at this video, and listening to this wonderful music, I remembered two girls! One is Bella from the movie "Twilight" which looks like the girl in your picture! (Especially the eyes) The second is Annabella Sciorra! By the way, she is painting in the movie "What Dreams May Come" And the music from your video is very similar to the music from this wonderful movie!
