TOFU RECIPE
1. Soak 2 cups of soybeans in water overnight
2. Drain the soybeans in the morning and add roughly half to the blender with 4 cups of water and blend on high for 1 minute. Strain through a nut milk bag into a pot. Blend the rest of the soybeans with 4 more cups of water and strain through a nut milk bag into a pot. 3.Place the milk on medium heat over the stove and bring to a VERY low boil. Make sure and watch and stir continuously or else it will boil over.
4. Once simmering, turn stove to low, and let simmer for 25-30 minutes. Stirring every 5 minutes or so.
5. after 30 minutes remove from heat and let it cool for 5 minutes.
6. Add 1/4 cup of apple cider vinegar then place the lid on your pot and let it rest for 20 minutes.
7. After 20 minutes remove the lid and there should be soymilk curds. scoop curds into a nut milk bag, letting the liquid whey drain through into a bowl. I placed my nut milk bag on a steamer with holes at the bottom so the liquid would drain through into the bowl. watch the video to see what im talking about
8. Press the tofu as much as possible to remove any excess liquid. Remove the tofu block from the nut milk bag and store in a shallow pan with water in the fridge (make sure the water covers the tofu completely)

I’ve been resetting my life too. I eat breakfast, take the bus to the ocean and swim. I arrive at dawn and it’s so peaceful. Yesterday it was a thin layer of ice on the water. It’s not really a swim, it’s a dip but it makes all the difference. It resets me and the cold gives me a powerful meditation. What a life ♥️

Cougars aka mountain lions, aka pumas live amongst us in the USA. They are more plentiful in rural areas where there are fewer people and they tend to hunt at night. Steer clear of them and if camping or living alone deep in their territory bring an equalizing protective device (firearm, etc) as well as a bright torch so you can see where you are treading - they will usually stay away from people. We never ventured out into the darkness to use the latrine without a lantern and a firearm because there were as many cougars as people where we were. There was one close call when someone decided to skip the lantern and firearms and just visit a bush. The moon cast enough light to show the cougar creeping forward in "hunt" mode. The lantern would have prevented that.

Texas hill country has its share of mountain lions...cougars which ever term you choose, I have seen them, but they typically stay away from humans......unless you get close to a cub.

@@World-as-i-c-it same for bear cubs. Our parents were walking on trail after a flood displaced some bear out of their abode. The cubs ended up on one side of the trail and their mother bear on the other side. She charged. Several warning rounds had to be fired so they could extracate themselves from in between her and the cubs.

Okay, so does this girl set up a camera in a field, run back to where she can be seen by said camera, run away from the camera and then run back to get the camera? Does she do that for all of these shots? That’s a lot of running back and forth. What about the shots where she’s running up hills in the Dark? Same thing? Sets camera down, runs back and gets in the frame, runs away from camera, runs back and gets camera? What about when she’s walking to her car in the dark? When she gets in her car, drives away, etc? She leaves her camera sitting there in the snow in the dark? Is anyone else asking these questions?

She has been clear from day one that this is land owned by her parents who have a cabin of their own on the land that they don't live in full time. She's also been clear about the fact that she had been hooked up to a grid for electricity. She has never once said 'ohhhh I'm just a poor girl who took over a mountainside'. Everything she does teaches not only a lesson but a way to use what the earth gives us. Why in the heck is this the person you choose to throw stones at with all the Jake's and Tana's making money off of being stupid that you could choose from??

Hi Isabel, What I find fascinating about your videos and yourself in general is your ability to live is nature. Not only living isolated in the mountains but also how you interact with your surroundings. You enjoy the fact of walking in the snow, just for a walk, you stand in the snow, you sit in the snow. I would love to be able to do what you do, accept nature. I would feel cold, uncomfortable in my clothes, unable to enjoy the landscape because I would want to go home in a warm environment. I admire your relationship with nature and how you accept it truly!

Thank you for continuing to post. I love your videos. I used to live in East Glacier, MT... I've soaked in the frigid water, drank from the streams, hiked and danced and been at play in ice and snow... I've also experienced the difficulties, as I'm sure you have.
