Isaiah Agustave is one of the top running backs in the 2023 recruiting class. He was heavily rated by both 247Sports and Rivals. Agustave is looking to make a big impact in the SEC.

Augustave is an absolute beast. His vision, agility, size, and speed (being a track athlete) are truly incredible. It got my attention immediately when he put up 100 yards against what was arguably a cup cake team, but to do that with the deplorable O-line we fielded last season and to do it as a true freshman got my attention immediately. I think he will definitely excel in BP's offense moving forward. He put up much better high school stats than Sanders, who never deserved to wear that #5 in the first place. Rocket had only one good season breaking 1k yards, and two others (one finishing around 500 yards and last year's 200 yard/2 TD total). It was time for him to get out of the way and let the young talent like Augustave show what they can do with more strength/conditioning and learning BP's offense. Knile Davis was hugely successful in the Petrino era. It's not like he's an air raid coordinator, by any means. Our receivers are staying because they know they'll get to showcase more of their talent, but Petrino is an offensive mastermind who knows how to utilize all of the weapons he has. He caters his offense around his personnel, unlike Enos who tried to make KJ more of a pocket passer... They figured out real quick that it wasn't going to work. It all starts in the trenches though, and we have to field a capable O-line. I know there's already a BBQ company setting up an NIL fund for the O-lineman exclusively. And we have to be successful in the portal. Plain and simple. #WPS

Did you see Landon Jackson's size these last media days? Ben Sowders is putting muscle on these kids quickly. I'm sure it will be the same with Agustave. I'm really excited about several players for Arkansas this year specifically Isaac Teslaa, that kid can catch anything with one hand while diving. He's a freakshow that is outlifting other players on the team and he's a WR! The word from early practices is that he makes highlight catches everyday like it's routine.

I'm pretty sure his last name is pronounced Ah-gu-stah-vay. He's on campus in Fayetteville, and according to the Arkansas Razorbacks website, Augustave is listed at 6'2" 205 lbs.. He's an outstanding talent, has a chance to become the next great Arkansas RB...in a year or two. 2022 1st Team All-SEC running back Rocket Sanders (6'2" 235) returns, plus top backups AJ Green (5'11" 205) and Rashod Dubinion (5'10" 213) are still on the team, and huge RB Dominque Johnson (6'1" 253) is back after missing last season with an injury. That means that Augustave's touches at RB will be very limited in 2023, barring a rash of injuries. My guess is, he'll play in no more than 4 games in 2023, and then will be shut down to preserve his redshirt. After 2023, If Sanders has another great season he will be leaving early for the NFL...Johnson may transfer...Green or Dubinion are the likely candidates to earn the starting job in 2024, but Augustave will get his carries. One place where Augustave could shine and become a weekly player who doesn't redshirt, is at kickoff returns. If Isaiah can show some outstanding return skills and utilize his speed, he could be Arkansas' number one return man, starting this year. But he's going to need to beat out Green to earn that job.

His first mistake would be going to Arkansas. How many Heisman candidates has Arkansas had? Exactly! How many skill position players come out of Arkansas and enter the NFL to have a “good” career? Exactly! Arkansas is a middle of the pack SEC program always has been and always will be. Other than the Petrino years what have they done? NOTHING!!

Arkansas had Darren McFadden, Peyton Hillis, and Felix Jones in the backfield all at once. They were ALL better than Tim Tebow. Lance Alworth was one of many Arkansas greats that you're obviously ignorant of. All-American in football and baseball, became the first AFL player in the NFL hall of fame. He's one of many Razorbacks who should have won the Heisman but didn't because of ignorant people much like yourself.
