Damn. Knowing now what Nolf has accomplished, it’s crazy to think how good IMar really was. Defeating one of Sanderson’s middleweight monsters instantly makes you legend.

Great comment, when you're in NCAA Finals against Penn state you're really in that circle trying g to beat Sanderson, IMAR essentially beat Sanderson. Nolfe would've never been a great wrestler w/o Sanderson
@zaynes5094 Жыл бұрын
@@davidgantz9378 I agree. However Nolf was a redshirt freshman in that season and hadn't really come into his own yet in terms of the big stage. He wouldn't really dominate the 157 until IMar bumped up to 165 and then things were all Nolf at 157. Then we know what happened to IMar at 165 with Joseph and their wars.

Jason nolf used to walk onto the mat and he did not do much walking back and forth or do the pre wrestle bounce. He just walked straight up and put his foot on the line and waited on the referee like "let's blow the whistle and imma clean this up right quick".

If it wasn't for the Penn State Middle Weight Titans, IMar would have gone down as one of the greatest to ever do it. I don't know if Imar would have stayed at 157 if Nolf wasn't there. It could have been about getting used to a weight closer to 74 Kg to prime for an Olympic slot. I think Vincenzo is good, but the fact that he's only a class above Nolf and he wrestles for Penn State makes me feel like he has an advantage against Imar. He's probably the training partner for the only guy to ever beat Imar. Insider knowledge and such.
