This was a really humbling moment for Bo. Created a monster
@ezradaiquiri11311

I don't understand what's so humbling about losing by a couple points in wrestling? That's like saying Diaz was humbled my mcnuggets in the second fight when they were neck and neck. What's humbling about good competition and learning how to get better? I just don't understand everyones overuse of the word humility. It's obnoxious.

@@ezradaiquiri11311 uhhhhh you must be unfamiliar with the pure dominance displayed by Bo. Him even losing is almost incomprehensible.
@ezradaiquiri11311
@ezradaiquiri11311 2 жыл бұрын
@@oand10 no, I'm not unfamiliar. Losing in the face of his dominance doesn't legitimize the claim that he was humbled. Now, if bo was a prick that thought he was better than people because of his dominant wrestling, then I would say he was humbled. But this doesn't appear to be the case.

I always love coming back and rewatching this match. Super exciting match. One thing I noticed and I could be totally wrong is, Bo LOVED that double-overs throw his freshman year. It was one of his go-to's. Used it a lot. After this match and his last 3 years at PSU, he didn't really use it as much anymore and seemed to focus more on leg attacks.

I think it's because he proved without a doubt that he didn't win because his weight class had weaker competition or something. He wrestled and beat the best in four different weight classes. I think that says something. It doesn't mean he was necessarily better than someone who did it in one or two weight classes, but it was extra proof as to how good he was.

Always had the same question. It's a cool fact for sure, but it's impossible to replicate for heavier guys, so it really can't be considered the gold standard. At the same time, what 141lber do you look at and say "He's going to be a great 165lber in a few years." It'll never be done again, so it's cool I guess

@@earnyourgold yep. Definitely cool. Just not more difficult from a wrestling standpoint. It just boils down to different genetics. Some people stop growing at 16, some 18, some 21... and yes, I have no doubt that it will never happen again.
