This was a really humbling moment for Bo. Created a monster
@ezradaiquiri113112 жыл бұрын
I don't understand what's so humbling about losing by a couple points in wrestling? That's like saying Diaz was humbled my mcnuggets in the second fight when they were neck and neck. What's humbling about good competition and learning how to get better? I just don't understand everyones overuse of the word humility. It's obnoxious.
@oand102 жыл бұрын
@@ezradaiquiri11311 uhhhhh you must be unfamiliar with the pure dominance displayed by Bo. Him even losing is almost incomprehensible.
@ezradaiquiri113112 жыл бұрын
@@oand10 no, I'm not unfamiliar. Losing in the face of his dominance doesn't legitimize the claim that he was humbled. Now, if bo was a prick that thought he was better than people because of his dominant wrestling, then I would say he was humbled. But this doesn't appear to be the case.

I always love coming back and rewatching this match. Super exciting match. One thing I noticed and I could be totally wrong is, Bo LOVED that double-overs throw his freshman year. I never understand why it is considered some sort of extra achievement for Dake to have won it at four different weights... so he was a late bloomer, why is that better than what Stieber, Sanderson, and Smith accomplished?
@Jlundeen2 жыл бұрын
I think it's because he proved without a doubt that he didn't win because his weight class had weaker competition or something. He wrestled and beat the best in four different weight classes. I think that says something. It doesn't mean he was necessarily better than someone who did it in one or two weight classes, but it was extra proof as to how good he was.
@earnyourgold2 жыл бұрын
Always had the same question. It's a cool fact for sure, but it's impossible to replicate for heavier guys, so it really can't be considered the gold standard. @schenksteven12 жыл бұрын
@@earnyourgold yep. Definitely cool. Just not more difficult from a wrestling standpoint. It just boils down to different genetics. Some people stop growing at 16, some 18, some 21... and yes, I have no doubt that it will never happen again.
