I had the privilege of receiving one of these from www.banggood.com!
Took it apart to see what was inside and understood why this board costs 2 to 3 times the price of other boards.

I received my pc4860 last month. I was impress by the outside. But, one balance prt doesn’t work. I unscrew it and wasn’t impressed at all. I have the v2 circuit board (this video has V1 board). It has removable fuses. But the soldering is almost childish. It looks like my soldering 20 years ago. There is an improvement, removable fuse, but the soldering made me wonder about other ISDT products. So many claimed how much better their products are, I am starting to wonder about those claims. I was offer some free items for a good review in Amazon (drone related). I hope this is not the case here.

Hi thanks for your review. Im very new to this subject. I have question (not a criticism). At 1:40, you are showing 3 like batteries and another board that seems to have different kinds of batteries. By countless other reviewers, ive been TOLD that its a capital crime, punishable by wrath of fire 😳😳 to mix different type of batteries plug into parallel board. Also that extra board would be very different than 3 batteries in isdt board. It would be awesome if this board accept and handle different batteries all at once without setting house on 🔥 🔥.. Could you plz explain whats going on there. Thx

Hey!! Thanks for watching! About parallel charging, the first thing u wan tot ensure is all cells are at roughly the same voltage before plugging them in. You must do this EVERY time before u plug them into parallel board. Reason is that if there's a big voltage difference, the higher voltage cell will try to charge the lower voltage cell at an uncontrolled rate, which causes things along the way to heat up and eventually start a fire

Interesting product, but it appears that the fuses are not user replaceable.

You are right However with the cnc case, it's actually quite hard to jam the balance port into the wrong hole With the plastic balance ports used, I have (foolishly) managed to jam the balance port in reversed, which resulted in the traces being burnt off (which I repaired later on..) Of course this also comes at a premium, so it really depends on what ure looking for :)

Those fuses are auto reset fuses. they are not a one and done fuse

I've heard this as well. They are self resetting fuses.

I am wondering if you can build an all male splitter cable to parallel charge 8 batterys at once from the iSDT SC-620 and two PC-4860 boards connected to the ends of the splitter. it should be all male connectors. this would require double the Amp draw of 4 batterys to charge at 1C = 8 Amps for 8x 1300mah 4S batterys that charge 1C at 1Ah. Is that correct?

Hi! do you mean the ISDT SC-620, the 500W 20A charger? i'm not sure whether I am understanding you correctly, but yes you could theoretically parallel charge as many batteries as you like with any charger, it's just a matter of how long it will take. I'm more bothered about the calculations. Basically 1300mAH charging at 1C would be 1.3A, 2200mAH at 1C would be 2.2A and so on.. Parallel charging 8x 1300mAH batteries = 1.3A x 8 = 10.4A, at 16.8V. However for Parallel charging, it is important to ensure all cells are at roughly the same voltage (i do +/- 0.1V), which is quite difficult to accomplish, not to mention that you have to measure each battery before charging. I would recommend the SkyRC Q200 instead: goo.gl/6ZBFmc It's now my favourite charger. It does seem pricey, but if you consider how it's actually 4 chargers in 1 with the power supply built in, it's actually a steal!

Yes, I corrected it thanks! Yep...I just want to charge 8 batterys in parallel from an iSDT SC-620 using two PC-4869 boards. By simply making one all male splitter with 1 input from the battery output port on the SC-620 (male connector) and 2 outputs (male connectors) that would connect to the Safe parallel boards. This would ensure that each battery is protected by the self resetting fuses contained therein = much safer than other parallel charging methods. If I use enough Amps from the Power source it should take just as long to charge 8 battery as with one battery at 1C or 2C as long as I have the correct amperage for all 8 battery's. so 8 batterys at 1300mah would charge at 10.4 amps thus charging each at 1C in the same time as one battery charging at 1.3 Amps. Of course doubling that charge rate would max out the capacity of the IS-620, but it should be fine at 20Amps. I just need a power supply that will provide up to 20Amps and no more than 500W. My batterys are Rline 1300mah 95C 4S1P by the way. I just haven't seen any comment online or any videos charging more than 8 battery's using only iSDT products and one charger.

Scott McClarin that's true, but it still doesn't solve the problem of needing the batteries to be at the same voltage before charging It's unlikely that u will end up with 8 batteries at the same voltage after flying. Additionally if I'm not wrong, the sc620 doesn't come with a built in supply.. When you factor in the cost of everything, and the need to have batteries at the same voltage for parallel charging, it might make more sense to get the q200 instead!

I already own an SC-620 and one PC-4860 Board...was considering using this power supply from e-bay..www.ebay.com/itm/12-6V-600W-Power-Supply-RC-Balance-Lipo-Battery-Charger-For-ISDT-SC-620-Charger/122665681547?_trksid=p2485497.m4902.l9144 I think the SC-620 has over voltage and amp protection, need to go back and look at the spec..I fly till I have 3.85-3.82 volts per cell...have been charging 4x 4cell packs just fine in that range no problem. I am looking to expand my battery capacity and want to charge them all at once. I realize this is near max Amp capacity if I want to charge 8 at 2C, but I should be able to do it at 1.5C to be safe.

i see i see, yup 3.85 - 3.82/cell is close enough in my opinion always charge under supervision!

Can the parallel charging device be powered by a power supply and have 4 isdt chargers powered off the parallel charger? I'm wanting to charge multiple batteries independently
@mnmsmushy
@mnmsmushy 7 жыл бұрын
dronlline heyyy, in theory it should work, cause inside it's pretty much just a pcb connecting everything together however you would need a really beefy power supply, and the total current would be restricted by this pcb (I think 30A?) may I suggest getting 2 of these instead? www.banggood.com/Eachine-GEMINI-2100-ACDC-280W-Dual-Balance-Charger-Discharger-3-6S-for-NiCd-NiMH-Lilo-LiPo-LiFe-PB-p-1039395.html?p=BH12012101858201508A
