I lived 7 miles north of Megiddo on the edge of the Jezreel Valley 45 years ago. I visited the site when there. So much has been excavated since then!!! I was excited to see that video.

I love these! Thank you Dr. Petrovich! I really enjoy watching and reading your work. I pray it helps to build more solid foundations to Christians today in this hellenized (Greekized) culture, so we can pass it on better to our children. 🙏🏽

It almost has the Normandy vibe to it, I could see bunkers being embedded into the valley, what a death trap to invaders, wow 😮

We need to build a new defense atop of the last stratum. The ancients knew exactly where the most strategic points lay, so we must follow by example.

Dr. Petrovich, In ancient near east/Israel for these tels to grow so much in height over the multiple occupations, (especially when they were concurred or destroyed between), would the new building stones be collected from the local area? What constitutes the increase in elevation of the tel, is it previous building materials? Or, does a city just collect new layers of dirt from inhabitants footwear, (like mud from their boots or sandals), that is brushed or washed off when they got home? Then, pot shards, other items would fall and be lost in the dirt or dust of the city also? If the buildings are not going to be excessively tall, they wouldn't need to have excessive foundations to a solid substrate, etc. Correct? Thanks for another great video!

Christ has already overcome the world: John 16:33-“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”

Is that the temple where Elijah slew the priests of Jezebel, and how relative to the Two Witnesses and their death/resurrection that triggers the Battle of Armageddon (Har Megiddo)?

Question I always have with ANE Archeology. How did the older period areas get filled in with dirty and material for the next period? That's a lot of dirt. It's our natural during periods? Or done manually - loads of dirt. Lots of dirt.

He explained that. New settlers often want to settle on top of an old site, so they cover it and build it up with dirt and rubble.

We do that today. Pretty much the whole city of Chicago has been raised up with jackscrews. Seen videos of parts of London that were buried.

Now here's the puzzler; according to other archaeologists the first culture the Yarmukian Culture, inhabited the area in 5000 BCE, or at least a thousand years too early. The city continued to be occupied almost till 1 CE and beyond. This means there was a thriving culture there during both The Flood and the Ice Age...Hmm? As I said, a puzzler.

Pre-pottery Neolithic? Didn't Noah know how to make pottery?
@Sawyersmaple
@Sawyersmaple 11 ай бұрын
Yes Noah would have known how to make pottery. The confusion of languages at the Tower of Babel would have set society’s back. As now this language group has some knowledge and that language group has other knowledge, and that would include metal working, pottery, carpentry, masonry etc..

I went there several times during my two years in Israel. You can look out across the plains and the Temple at the entrance area. The stabkes held 50 cavalry. The true Armageden. I prayed on the alter for Israeli continuance.

No JC, wrong name, Her-Megiddo, well since the Hebrew named messiah Yahushua said he was coming in their lifetime, he did history records it, so he wasn't wrong or lying, and scripture confirms it. So the problem lies in the Romanized deYahudi-ed version of the true hebrew N.T.
