I just completed listening to Swamiji's utterly beautiful six part exposition on an Introduction to Vedanta tonight. After reading and also listening to many presentations on such or similar topics before, I must say that listening to Swamiji's series of talks on these basic vedantic concepts on this website has clarified my understanding of these concepts more meaningfully than all my previous attempts to grasp them over many decades. The clarity of his talks and the masterful manner of delivery by Swamiji are beautiful beyond words. I am fortunate to have listened to these talks, and only wish that someday I may have an opportunity to listen to him in person. May God bless him, his efforts to spread the message of Vedanta and bless all that his institution does for us. We are indeed fortunate to have such an enlightened teacher of Vedanta among us.

Iswor lai Pranam. Hail Iswor. Hail my guru Tadatmananda of Veda the highest source of knowledge in this Universe with reasonings in English. Had it been in Sanskrit I would have never read it or reached the proximity of it. My first 3 years of meditation mostly were objects obstructing once in a while. A dharana. I am still trying to learn to meditate(dhyan). My father is with me since 4 months and is also a Highly conscious Yoga(meditation) guru. But after going through your Amrit I am delve into constant love for these videos and shared to friends already. I have watched 4 times already and it just started to click into my brain of Vritti(I think its Cognition). Its correct to say your videos are Ishwor Bachan. I am full in love with Ishwor and trying to feel it in my meditation. Although various other gurus tried to pass this knowledge to my brain but it couldn't be perceived. You are just amazing. I hope may others also get the understanding of Atma which you explained so clearly. I am trying to end the suffering of my life: it requires sense of completeness of all desires. I will try to delve into that although there aren't very many desires left after going through your videos. You are incredible super consciousness. I bow to you Namaste!

What Advaita Vedanta says according to the question like: "Who created Ishvara/Brahman then? And so on". I have always accepted the answer that It just ultimately "is" and intellectually it can't be comprehended (and maybe any attempts are just obstacles). Since if something is eternal, it has no beggining, like we percieve it. I feel like I get it (in an experience way) but my mind is persistently trying to explore this paradox. This "dissatisfaction" arises. Advaita Vedanta seems to be a great source for these contemplations. Once, during the meditation, a simplified/metaphorical answer came to me: "I am the God that created me". Also teachers that I follow have confirmed it and are explaining it as just a "fun mind puzzle" which can never be completed. Yet, my human self is stubborn and is still looking for more assurance.

@krasska23 Paradoxes exist until liberation. It is because of the paradoxes, perceived reality is called Maya. Liberation is liberation from paradoxes. Once liberated, the paradoxes never existed. You are liberated with retro effect because it is liberation from time as well.

I watched all the videos in this series and although everything is well-explained fro which I'm extremely grateful and thankful, I'm left with a question. The material cause, or upadana for the creation of the universe is ishvara himself, based on a verse from Upanishad that says "just like a spider that spins and eats its web". However later ( 20:00 ) he goes on saying, we were not asked to believe anything blindly like other religious teachings, and every Vedanta inference is backed by reasons and rational discourse. This very instance of concluding ishvara made the universe from themself, based on spider metaphor as mentioned in Upanishad, is an example of 'it is what it is' or 'you should believe what's written in the book', essentially making it indifferent from other teachings. Am I missing something? Can anyone shed some light on this? PS: true that metaphors shouldn't be taken literally and cannot logically justify anything. Being a metaphor, the spider thing itself is flawed. And just the fact that a spider builds net from itself doesn't prove ishvara built the universe from themself. If Vedanta has come to a conclusion based on a metaphor written on a book, we cannot say it's not a blind belief.

I'm amazed! Swamiji, thank you !!! I cannot but share the words of my guru Ramana Maharshi, shedding light on the nature of Ishvara. Seeker: So, ultimately, Ishwara is unreal? Maharshi: The existence of Ishvara follows from our understanding of Ishvara. Let us first know whose it is. This understanding will only correspond to the one who understands. Find who you are and the rest of the problems will solve by themselves. Ishwara, God, creator, personal God is the last of the unreal forms that must go. Only absolute Being is real. Therefore, not only the world, not only the ego, but also the personal God - are unreal. We must find the Absolute - no less. Seeker: You say that even the highest God is still just an idea. Does this mean that there is no God? Maharshi: No, Ishwara exists. Seeker: Does it exist in any particular place or form? Maharshi: If man is a form, then even the Atman, the Source, which is the Lord, will also appear in the form. Otherwise, since then there can be no knowledge of anything else, is it true that God has a form? God takes any form imagined by the admirer as he thinks repeatedly during the continuation of meditation. Although in this way He allows countless names, the only real formless Consciousness is God. As for His habitat, there is no other place for God's abiding, except for the Heart. It is only through the illusion caused by the ego or the thought “I am the body” that the kingdom of God appears to be located somewhere else. Be sure that the kingdom of God is the Heart. Recognize that you are the perfect radiant Light that not only makes the kingdom of God possible, but also allows it to be visible, like some kind of wonderful heaven. This Knowledge alone is Jnana. Therefore, the kingdom of God is within you. The unlimited space of turiatita [on the other side of the four states, that is, the Atman], which suddenly shines in its entirety inside the Heart of an excellently prepared seeker during the period of perfect absorption of the mind as a fresh and previously unknown experience, is rarely attainable and true Shiva-loka [kingdom Of God] shining with the light of the Atman. OM TAT SAT
