@fidelnenas8390

Why wouldn’t MJ be the darling? As Isiah said countless times Jordan was good for business. Players from his era are still making money from the NBA. Without Jordan, the Bulls and the 92 Olympic Dream team the NBA would probably not become a global entity. The Olympics where the international opponents were in awe of the American team. When small and large European countries started buying NBA time to their tv stations. More international players wanted to come play in the US due to the lucrative contracts. I say lucrative because many of those players had never seen the kind of money they garnered in the US. Their lives changed dramatically once they moved here. For instance Tony Kukoc. Giannis Antetokounmpo. Because of Jordan and his teammates generating money. Lebron, Curry, DWade and all the other NBA stars were able to sign mega million contracts the likes Jordan never saw. Because of Jordan the endorsement deals that Lebron and Curry have would have never happened without him. Jordan is the GOAT of basketball because of what he done for the NBA. Though his stats speak for themselves.

And swept the pistons to beat the Lakers in the finals.That's a hell of a story, keep selling it.

Isaiah Thomas is also on record as saying Jordan averaged 37 points against his Detroit Pistons, and sometimes he got hot. So yeah, Jordan did dominate individually his entire career. However from a team perspective, his dominance didn’t start until 91. No, I was there and I was not sold a story. It is well known that the 80's were dominated by the Lakers and Boston. Then, the very good Piston took two great rings. We all know that Jordan dominated Bird, Magic and certainly Thomas in head to head match ups but basically lost those games until his GM surrounded MJ with help to win against the Pistons and Boston/Lakers Thomas leaves out that he should have beaten the Bulls because he had the better team in Jordan's early years. The Pistons were between the 80's domination of Boston&LA and the Bulls. We know It took Jordan 7 years to win with a team. Jordan folded up Thomas' franchise in 91 like a lawn chair for decades. Thomas is full of crap. Thomas and the Piston team were the kings which beat Boston and the Lakers. And, the bulls beat the Pistons when they were better than LA&Boston. Furthermore, the Jordan Documentary points out when the Chicago wins started and ended. Jordan ended the Pistons. And, he RAN through the 91 pistons like poop through a goose. Who says that the Pistons, Ahkeem, Barkley, Kemp Malone and Ewing were not as tough as the Boston, LA and Piston squads which were not coming out of the West or the East. This is typical to try and down grade Jordan to make himself look good. We Don't forget you Isiah, your(on purpose) generic low star powered team had a great 2peat. But, your deeds were super-sized by your peers magic&Bird. Then, Ahkeem, tied you, Timmy, Shaq, Kobe, Bron, D Wayne, Curry/Thompson overshadowed your 2 titles. Isiah this is nonsense. We know what you did and we know what Jordan achieved. You cannot diminish Jordan's Wins. We saw it back in the day. There is video and Mike passes the eye test on averaging at least 29 or scoring more when he torched Piston match ups while losing or winning. We can acknowledge your comparative small NBA contributions and celebrate the Jordan era too. We also remember your Pistons were dominated by LA and Boston for most of the 80's era. Thomas the no hand shake king makes himself look bad or worst with this disrespect of 90's teams. That's why those guys didn't like the idea of playing with him in the 92 Olympics. With Isiah's 2 rings, he did not have the Dream Team star chemistry power of Barkley, Malone and Ewing. It's this holier better than thou attitude which makes Thomas a bit of a Olympic social outcast. 🤔

Isiah has been jealous of Jordan since day one for two reasons: A). Thomas is from Chicago and he was the most popular basketball player there, despite playing for Indiana in College and the Pistons in the NBA, until Jordan started playing for the Bulls, that is. B). Magic was the best guard in the West throughout the 1980s and Thomas was the best guard in the East from the time he was drafted in 1982 until 1985... when Jordan entered the league. This made Thomas resent MJ, as he now had to share the spotlight in the East with him as far as guards were concerned, which led to the infamous 1985 All-Star game freeze-out. Thomas planted the seeds that grew into not only Jordan's dislike of him, but the Pistons-Bulls rivalry as well. I think it's hilarious that Thomas talks about Jordan's competition not being as great as his was as well. The Bad Boys happened to squeeze a couple of rings out of a very specific window in NBA history that heavily benefited them. The Lakers and Celtics were slowing down, with Bird and McHale nursing injuries and Magic suffering a season-ending injury during the 1989 Finals, and the Bulls were too young and still waiting for Pippen and Grant to develop into reliable starters. Oh, and who did the Pistons defeat in the 1990 Finals? The Blazers - a worse version of the team Chicago defeated in 1992, after sweeping Thomas and the defending champion Pistons in 1991. TL;DR: Isiah Thomas is still salty that Jordan had a better career than he did and is remembered much more fondly everywhere outside of Detroit, including in Chicago - Thomas' hometown.
