@@worldwildhearts We've been stuck in Australia since covid hit. We're trying to extend our visas, but may head to the states/Mexico if we're denied!

@@IfWeGoTo crazy! We were actually about to go to Australia right before covid hit. Had our working holiday visas all lined up and everything. Then we couldn’t get in because of the flights being shut down forever. Best of luck with the extension! Not a bad place to be stuck there 😉 if you get down to Mexico, let us know. We’ll be here until end of May

I’m so excited to be going there, especially after seeing this video! What snorkeling tour did you do if I may ask?
@worldwildhearts3 жыл бұрын
You’ll like the island! We did a 4-hour tour that went to MUSA, lighthouse reef and manchones reef! We booked it on the spot and it was about 35 USD!

@@worldwildhearts where exactly did you book this? The people at the ferry port were charging 75 dollars!

Great video. I spent a lot of vacations in the Yucatan but between 1986 and 1994. It has changed SOOO much. Yiyr video is very informative. One suggestion, you should credit the music that you use at the end of the video. The slow latin music was awesome, where can I find that music, one vocal one instrumental right after. Thanks
@worldwildhearts2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! You can actually find the music credits in the description of the video. Here it is: MUSIC CREDITS: Song 1 - Rade by J.A.K. Song 2 - El Rio Fluye by Reuven Bransburg Song 3 - Havana Sunset by Metan Gov Ari Song 4 - Latin Moves by Anthony Vega

Going in January. Do you need to be a good swimmer in order to snorkel? Thanks!
@worldwildhearts3 жыл бұрын
You’ll get a life jacket but the ocean can be a little rough at times. You don’t need to be a great swimmer but knowing the basics helps
@jayhulrs14352 жыл бұрын
Use a noodle or a life jacket
@jorges.4857Ай бұрын
At least be comfortable swimming in deep waters! The life jackets only help you float by 10%

For snorkelling do we need to know swimming? I don’t know swimming at all but wanted to try snorkelling :)
@worldwildhearts2 жыл бұрын
We would recommend that you have a little bit of swimming skills since the current does move you around a bit. But you do get a life jacket and the guide is there to help you if ever a problem. You could ask the tour operator on site too if they’re ok with it since each one might have a little different policy on it

Is it possible to do a one day trip there?
@worldwildhearts3 жыл бұрын
Hmmm it would be hard. It’s possible from Cancun (they offer all kinds of day trips there but even with the ferry it’s possible), but from Playa would be kind of far unless you join a boat tour but you wouldn’t have much time on the island really

It was this one! islamujerestrips.com/tours/island-tours/snorkel/ There are also many other snorkel tour companies in person you can find along the beach or the main downtown street on the island. They offer a similar route. Enjoy Isla Mujeres and let us know if you have any questions.
