What is wrong,it is wrong. We cannot justify any wrong thing to meet our desires; never. Our Creator knows better,what is best for us. If you believe He created everything then it is He who forbade homosexualatiy also. Why you hang on just feelings? Follow His all commands, not just following few and leaving others. May Allah show us the right path,the path of those on whom He showed His mercy, and not the path of those who went astray.

Furthermore, if sexual orientation is fixed from birth, why do some homosexuals switch to heterosexuality or bisexuality?

I am a gay Muslim woman. I wish it wasnt so. I want to have a family life with another girl as my wife. I deserve love. I deserve to feel the exact same "sukoon" a heterosexual couple in a committed relationship has a right to in islam. Ban all marriages altogether if u think these urges are sinful or leading to sin. They are no more sinful than what a couple experiences. Why did Allah Mian give me such a capacity to love a woman? Are u saying that I dont have a right to love? When God is All Loving, All Kind.

It's really lovely to see such a good and legit view from a person whom I consider a modernist. Kaafi baatoun pay ikhtilaaf hai, I thought he'd have the same opinion in this matter as some "scholars" like Yasir Qadhi have terrible views. They try to justify LGBT. It's miserable. I am really surprised that no scholar including Ghamidi saheb, whom I respect a lot for reviving Islam does not seem to realise that surah 4.16-17 is reference to guidance from Allah on how to deal with homosexuals among believers and not turn to hadeeth rulings which is to execute them. It would be really strange that the Quran is completely silent an issue of this magnitude, if these ayahs are clear guidelines on how to go about homosexuals among believers.

And pray Allah to help you. Maybe you´ll need to fast for some time but after some time you´ll feel the desire disappearing.
