Very enlightening & thought-provoking lecture. Practice of ceremonies, rites & rituals has taken us away from the core message of Quran Al Kareem. Very many Ahadees are false & concocted but these are relied upon blindly instead of getting them verified by the Marja(s), the people of knowledge. Tawassul/Wasila/Intercession is not correctly understood by us. We approach/pray Imams & noble persons for our benefit though we do not follow their teachings & practices in our own life. How can we think that Imams would take our cause to Allah when we do not practice "piety" /Taqwa in our day to day life? We must first "deserve" then "desire". Then only the path of "wasila" would be effective. Shaykh Arif Abdulhasan has lucidly touched these sensitive issues. I wish he quoted the names of Surahs and the Ayat number too so that we could read it in the Holy Book! Can I get his email ID so that I can be in touch with him?
