Per Murray’s opening sentence a European Christian can’t both say “my fellow Europeans” and “my fellow Christians”. One is not allowed to have an identity outside of just being European. Or is that only for Muslims? So a Christian Arab can’t say to his fellow Arab “my fellow Arab” and to his Christian brothers and sister “my fellow Christians”. What a hypocrite.

A large population of Turkey don't look like people from Central and East Asia where Turks are originally from. And their DNA proves it as at most 30% of their DNA seems to be from east. So the peoples of Anatolia were not exterminated and the original population who were living there gradually converted to Islam after Byzantium was conquered. So what occupation are you talking about? By your logic European pagans and atheists can claim large parts of Europe has been occupied by Christians as Christianity originated in the Middle East.

There isn't that much difference in most of fundamentals of Christianity, Judaism and Islam when it comes to the lifestyle of people or rules of community. Just like we now see large population of Israel gone back to the fundamentals, where some Jewish communities are even wearing the buruga, so is there the potential for this to happen in Christianity. The reversal of the abortion laws in USA is a good example as they are now more strict in this than almost every Muslim country. This really isn't something about Christianity, Islam and Judaism.

The opening sentence from Douglas Murray is moronic….. he accused Tariq Ramadan of trying to be both a European and a Muslim basically stating you can’t be both. Would he say that to any subgroup under a national identity such as another religious group such as “you can’t be European and Jewish, or you can’t be European and Catholic or you can’t be straight and European etc etc” European is how someone identifies as their national/regional identity…. Muslim, Christian, Jewish etc is a religion. So Mr Murray, per usual, your attack meant to divide a Muslim from their European identity would have to be applied to a Christian, or Jewish person.
