MS4P Updates; ‼ 1) Students at Manchester Metropolitan University successfully pressure the university to divest from Barclays! a) The University will drop Barclays as its main partner and fully transition to Lloyds Bank by the end of the year. b) This includes transferring the University’s payroll systems, which includes their £7.8 million cash deposits and their unused £50 million overdraft. 2) UCL academic board votes in favour of motion to review ties with arms companies and investments. They also agreed to set up a scholarship scheme for Palestinian students and academics. 3) Warwick Stands With Palestine group ends their occupation of the Warwick Manufacturing Group building (renamed Warwick Murdering Group) after University management agree to have a formal dialogue with the students pertaining to their demands.
