My mother took me and my brother to see this when I was about 9. The scene where the zeppelin was coming out of the hanger was breathtaking. Watching this on the big screen was amazing! What a fantastic movie!

I remember renting this in the 80s at a video rental store. The store had the video box, it was an old-style clamshell box, it was great. The move kicks ass too.

Great to see this again. Saw it when I was 5 or 6 at the theater. All I could remember of it clearly was the "chasing rainbows" line. Thanks for posting.

I studied Norwegian when I was a teenager thinking Norwegian sounded like this viking language, when I started learning new Norwegian I got disappointed since is not as rude as this viking language

this is based on truth. there is a place at the antarctic pole that has no ice, fresh water unfrozen lakes, and green life. and possibly an opening to an inner hollow earth with an inner sun. the aurora borealis lights could be light shining up through the opening, from the inner sun. or aurora borealis could just be earths natural magnetic field making shimmering lightwaves. don't know, i haven't been there.
