Just spent Father's Day weekend (and my son's 16th birthday) in Puerto Galera. Did a half day island hopping trip, taken by a large banka to Long Beach and transferred to a 3 person small banka (only this size allowed to go to the destinations). Long Beach, all to ourselves, then Haligi Beach, underwater cave and finally to the coral garden, which was teeming with fish (like swimming in an aquarium), all for 2500 pesos, great value. If you or anyone goes there check out these tours, great value for money.

Fun times Rod and Arlene. Not our forte, we have never been into tourism type activity, but to each his own. Arlene is looking very attractive and happy, good to see her. Better looking than you Rod, LoL. As for those little banca boats, never been on one and won't be getting on one anytime soon, no thank you Sir, LoL.

Went for a one day trip to Sipaly for Father’s Day. Spent the first afternoon at the beach and the pool. Spent the next morning island hopping where we visited an island with a cave that went all the way through the island. It was a real treat, but that was just the beginning. We traveled along the coast looking at the very nice houses and resorts until we stopped for bread…to feed the fish. We traveled back to a spot where hundreds of fish wait to be fed. Erica, her sisters, and I then went swimming amongst all the fish. Great experience. This definitely meets my expectations for Philippine travels!

Hey Rod, what kind of shoes are you wearing on those type of adventures? I'm sure you'll need something waterproof.
@AmazingPhilippines12 жыл бұрын
They are not waterproof Gary but pretty porous to let the water run in and out. Also, important to have soles that have a little "grip" so they do not slide too easily.
