As an American it seems like all the boats built down under have really small fuel tanks. Is it because the majority are trailer boats and they figure you only need enough fuel for the day? It would seem you guys have some pretty wide open spaces there and I’m guessing a long ways from fuel docks so you’d think it would be the opposite.

I’d say a combination of what you’ve stated and also making price more competitive for the everyday fisherman. Though if you look into the more commercial sector of Australian boats you’ll find the fuel capacity to be much greater. Boast like Edencraft, bass strait, cootacraft etc make boats with 250 litres of fuel as a minimum at this same size of boat in this video

Yeah mate very much the case we are starting to see bigger fuel tanks and water tanks on some of the newer more high end boat builders,

The boats covered alot on YT are trailer boats and most towing vehicles here are rated to 3.5 tonne. Also we have more stringent towing rules around the beam of the boats before you start fitting into special towing categories. We do have access to the 4.5 tonne American trucks now, but they are really pricey, with an F150 starting at ~$120k. Moored boats have much larger tanks, but are very much only for the top 1%. Very few people can afford them.
