Hi there been keeping an eye on your channel for awhile awesome stuff mate 👍 the steering cable should be an easy fix, if you unbolt the steering cable from the steering helm. It’s just a locating bolt to lock the cable in, once removed wind the steering cable out of the helm. There should a cable guard coming out of the other side of the helm. Basically swap the steering cable and the cable guard around. Wind the cable in to the helm and bolt it all up. Make sure you try to pull the steering cable out to make sure the locating bolt has secured the steering cable. I’m a fan of your channel and a wildlife fan in general and used to work as a marine engineer on the Isle of Wight. If I can help with any advice please ask. Good luck on your adventures 👍👍

excellent videos so far mate, this is perfect research for me as I'm planning to do exactly the same when I semi retire to wales in 5 years, great insight into the mooring setup. * will you take it out the water in winter ? * bit rude I know, but what sort of costs are we talking for boat & trailer, then the parts then mooring PA ? (I understand if you don't want to answer this) * have you done any day skipper, radio courses (think you mentioned you may have done radio some time back) etc * be interested in seeing the full process of launch & return mate keep up the good work
@AirbornePirates2 жыл бұрын
Mooring cost is £430 per year for hard standing with Trailer and the mooring in harbour 👌 I was out on the boat today! 😊 That video is already out of the launch, ep7 mate And yes defo have to take boat out OCTOBER to April

just to save you any future grief, the grey fuel line has a plastic inner tube which breaks down with ethanol fuel if you leave it with fuel in it, trust me I have had major carb blockages until I replaced with ethanol resistant fuel line, not sure what the speed of break up with occasional use and emptying the line every time after use, but the grey fuel line is bad news, just thought I would let you know.

Do your bow shackles not corrode really quickly in the salt water? Stainless steel ones or non-rated ones might be better, provided you aren't doing any lifting and only for mooring

I thought you might like to know - A video in French is in the link. - "A great white shark is currently swimming off the Magdalen Islands. Disaster scenario worthy of Jaws? Or quite normal and rather frequent event? We talk about it with the scientific director of the St. Lawrence Shark Observatory, Jeffrey Gallant, who has observed sharks for more than 20 years." www.salutbonjour.ca/2022/07/26/ces-jours-ci-un-grand-requin-blanc-se-permet-une-petite-saucette-aux-iles-de-la-madeleine.
