NHL is the model organization and good fortunes have been coming their way such as that TNT deal. Heck if the Thrashers were still in Atlanta, I would be proud to wear the Thrashers colors. The NHL can be patriotic when it come to times like these. Atlanta shouldn't get a thrid crack but Georgia has a port city that would gladly host a NHL franchise. Though if you break the song down it only is significant amongst a small percentage of people and even then it is only relevant 100 yrs ago. As for those that want to make this political between Dems and Reps, all I can say is that what Mr Bankrupt did was tarnish the reputation of the USA and democracy in general. Has was the laughing stock amongst world leaders no matter where he went. Is Biden better? I don't know, probably not but whoever is Commander in Chief of the free world has a lot of mending to do. Ultimately though, the crowd at the Coliseum was there to sing an anthem and cheer on their team regardless or politics, religion or race.

As an Iraq marine veteran, I can't remember a day or night since I came home for good after losing my left arm and hearing letting my wife and kid see me that I've balled my eyes out like I have watching this video! Things like this didn't used to be so unusual and rare 5 Years ago and back but today it's priceless and these rare occurrences in modern American society remind me of foreign war, tragedy but ultimately the overwhelming joy of coming back home to a free country and not regretting everything so many including myself volunteered to do! my late father Sarkis loved the national anthem. it was almost his favorite part of any football game. and often the only time he got to sing the anthem. he is smiling down on Islander Fans right now. i’m a caps fan and i’m smiling big. God Bless America!!

This isn't patriotism. It's a symbol of patriotism. Patriotism is informed citizenship, advocating for free speech, and being your brother's keeper. We're a long way from those.... sadly.

I think It is Patriotism....shows we still have people that love the country and will stand up and honor it by proudly singing our anthem...which represents everyone alive and who has fallen....many of the kneelers just don't understand and don't care to...but many do and picked that way because they hate this country and want to spreadthat hate....Displays like this show those haters we aren't going away, we are not discouraged by them, they aren't changing our minds and that we still love this country!

God bless America. We are not racist we are not hateful. We just wanna live our lives. If were so bad why is everybody lining up to come here? This brought tears to my eyes this is what can fix us.
