Zagreb has the highest number of museums per capital of all European capitals. I spent a month in Zagreb and could not hit all the attractions to learn about its 900 years of culture and history. 48 hours is a stroll. Txs for the memories.

Your better off not staying to long in ,, Zagreb, I already made reservations and found out because of the 2020 Earthquake many of the most important Museums and Churches are closed, I did plan 2 day trips to Slovenia and Plitvice Lake Waterfalls

Been to Zagreb a long long time ago Jeff. Remember eating at a restaurant by the train station. We ordered what everybody else was eating (looked like steak fajitas & onions). It definitely was not beef. Nor lamb or pork. I wonder what it was?

Great video man! As a local I kind of have to add some slight corrections. As of 2021. Croatia had, according to the official national stats not 3.5 but 3.88 million citizens. Zagreb itself has about 650.000 inhabitants but in metro area probably somewhere closer to one million people. Although Croatia almost three decades ago fought very bloody war of independence Zagreb wasn't actually real "war zone" with only 2-3 notable occasions when city has been bombarded by the Serb air force and artillery. City itself hasn't seen widespread civilian casualties and destruction unlike some other areas. Eastern Croatia and parts of the country to do south-east, regions of Slavonia, Banovina, Lika and parts of Dalmatia were mostly affected and some of these parts were actually real war zones! Concerning time that is sufficient to the tourists to stay in Zagreb: I have to say this is very, very dependent on which kind of people we're talking! Zagreb has a great deal to offer in terms of culture (numerous and amazing museums with very worthwhile exhibitions that are surpassing local relevance, international festivals, frequent international music stars concerts, great opera, ballet and theaters, large number of multiplex cinemas,...), exploring amazing architecture that ranges from medieval times, throughout many centuries to the finest examples of modernist and contemporary architecture, many grand masterworks of architecture, grand and beautiful green areas including gigantic and centuries old amazing Maksimir park, Medvednica mountain, Jarun artificial lake and islands recreational area... Zagreb is also very vibrant city of nowadays rarely seen relaxed and cool coffee culture, bustling nightlife, many hidden gems (world's shortest funicular and large one that leads to the Medvednica mountain, Zagreb tunnels system, large pedestrian areas lined with all sort of restaurants, clubs and cafes, hilltop Medvedgrad castle...). In very near neighborhood you'll also find two grand medieval castles: Trakoscan and Veliki Tabor that are very worthwhile visiting likewise Kumrovec - birthplace village of Josip Broz Tito, beautiful fairytale baroque era city of Varazdin, Plitvice lakes... Two or three days to explore all of this or just to immerse in amazing local atmosphere?! In my earnest opinion very unlikely! Zagreb is beautiful but hugely underrated city many tourist are unavare of especially when it comes to what this city actually has to offer! Wish you all the best! 👍 Ps. Always explore information for yourself and go much further beyond the tourist guides and others opinions!

You really need to improve your knowledge of history - your commentary is weak and more often factually wrong! If you can’t get the history right then don’t make it up!
