The last time that I bagged a turkey was in the mid 90's. The season in the state that I hunt has curtailed the fall season drastically. I've shot 3 turkeys total. One rifle, one muzzleloader and one shotgun. The rifle wasn't pretty. I was 18 years old and shot center mass on a broadside turkey at 40 yards. I didn't know any better! I had half a breast and one leg half to eat on that 8 lb. jake! That was back in '86. I did better on the last 2. My wife was proud. She loves wild turkey,

Would love to get an Osceola at some point before I'm too old to chase birds. Though the flatlands of Florida I doubt would be as brutal as hunting Rio and Merriams in the mountains here. Somehow manages to always be uphill to the truck, even when I went uphill from the truck to begin with! Chasing shrimp with a net looks like a blast! Tasty!!

Watch out for the new Old Bay plastic container, if you squeeze it too much the top will pop off and dump the whole can! Happened to me but I caught it before the whole contents spilled. Tape around the seem with electrical tape to prevent future problem. Wish they'd kept the original metal container :-(
