I love how you show this blanket in bite size bits. This is not overwhelming. This is something I can do.

I think this pattern in particular is also very friendly to crocheters of all skill levels! Like she says, the pattern really leads you on, so it’s much more intuitive than some other mosaic crochet charts out there

I agree! Plus I'm very happy that she's not restricting it to FB,which I don't do. Yay for her KZbin channel!🎉

Thanks so much for these videos. I'm new to mosaic crochet -- I just finished making the pieces in Tinna's Beginner Guide -- so I really need the extra guidance, especially on figuring out when to do BLO and when to do both loops. I really love the joy that Tinna exudes in these videos. It's a great reminder never to take yourself too seriously. On to part 4!

I was following along. Such a sweet pattern. Third double row into the mountains, I realized I was 2 stitches short! Dropped them way back. Ripped out so many rows. I’m sad. Giving it a day, and then I will be back with a vengeance!
@TinnaThorudottirThorvaldar2 ай бұрын
Oh I feel your pain ❤️ next time just add those 2 stitches somewhere, no one would be able to tell 😉😎😘

I did, too, but I fudged and added them in. It wasn't at all noticeable.

Well, I just realized that the first row AFTER the HDC row (first row of the single wave breaker pattern, first row of mountain pattern) is supposed to be worked in both loops. I assumed it’s the first row of a mosaic chart, it’s to be worked in back loop only. 🤦♀️ Orwell. I’ve decided that I’m just going to continue doing it the way I’ve done it. It gives it a nice little ridge texture anyway 🤫🤭
@TinnaThorudottirThorvaldar2 ай бұрын
I do it in both loops yes, but it’s really optional and works both ways ❤️✨
@TheMissphish2 ай бұрын
I did it too! She has me trained, single chains go in back loops! But I'm keeping it, I like the texture

i have so many color combinations running through my head -- oh how i love color! -- but the first full example using that white with the blues & greens, really knocks me out. when i do start my islands blanket, i think i *have to* copy yours, it's stunning. 😻😻😻😻😻 5/5 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍 5/5

Does it state in the written pattern whether your turning chains count as a stitch as I see you sometimes work into the first stitch even though you may have done more than 1 chain before or am I wrong?

Yes it does and an no they do not count ❤️
