The young people of Islay face a tricky decision when they come of age; should they stay on their home island in western Scotland? or make that journey to the mainland to pursue an education or career? This heart felt documentary explores the young filmmakers aspirations and emotional attachments to the island alongside opportunities available to them on Islay.

Brought back many happy memories of my one and only visit to the island almost 50 years ago on MV Lochiel ~ I loved Islay then and promised to return ~ maybe next year! Can understand the frustrations of the young people ~ as being born and brought up on Isle of Bute ~ we faced similar problems ~ but at least there are many distilleries on Islay whereas none on Bute, Island life can be tough but think the pros outweigh the cons. Thanks for posting this beautiful video and hope it encourages many visitors to your beautiful island.
