I just found out about this race as it popped up in my you tube feed at the begging of the pandemic...for a year I have been obsessed with watching all the past races and getting to know the riders and what timing today I here this race is going to be televised live now as regular sports this is great and I'm buying a bike 🏍lol

Don't over do it if you have not owned a bike before. Earn your skill level with time. I started in 1978 with a 400Four SuperSport with over 100,000 miles ridden, next a V45 Magna over 100,000 ridden, Pacific Coast 800 over 100,000, ST1100 with 180,000, in 2012 I bought a ST1300 (commuting) and now have 120,000 and a 2014 1800cc Gold Wing Valkyrie for the weekends and have 30,000. I earned my skill and try not to over do it with road conditions. Now 67 years old. I didn't get a car till my wife passed away in 2009 and got her's.

Of course it's still a thrill for them. One brief moment where you lose your nerve or concentration can cost you everything. They're also out there racing a bunch of the other bravest and most skilled riders on Earth. What a place to be. What a thing to do. I believe it was Guy Martin that said it's a drug you can't buy. These guys are gladiators. I wish my nuts were big enough to live life like they do.
