That was always my thinking and how I use it but I normally only use drops on my face,chest, arms I use a tan foam for everywhere else.. But I also normally use my drops every 3 or 4 days to keep my color up.

Also, the tanologist spray in medium is perfect for hands and feet. Just spray 2-3 sprays on a brush or mitt and apply, then take another, clean fluffy brush and really buff your hands and feet. They turn out PERFECT every time.

I tried Tan-lux first and definitely dealt with orange hand palms even though I washed my hands after, so that pretty much gave away my fake tan and the smell wasn’t great either. I am now using Isle of Paradise and I am loving it, smell is not bad, applies evenly and last longer and no orange hand palms.

I’ve used Tan-Luxe for 2 years now and I absolutely love it. You’re right that it’s not made to get that deep tan. I use it just to get a natural glow and even out my skin tone. I really only use 3 drops per 2 pumps of lotion and it works perfect for me. No splotchiness. I think the more drops you use, the more splotched it tends to be?

I loved your video, very informative! I found a blog while looking for self tanning drops and read that using pure aloe vera gel (I used Pura D'ore) and WOW! With your review and tips along with using aloe gel with Tanologist (med & dark) not only did achieve great results but my wrists and ankles were flawless. I mixed my gel and tanning drops in a medication cup (for better accuracy) and then applied. The aloe dries super quick and I had no problems with rub off laying in bed. I had never thought to use aloe gel but I highly recommend to give a try and maybe you can share if it helped you as it did me. 😊

I use Clarins drops in winter on my face - 2 or 3 drops emulsified with 3 or 4 drops of Rhoto Hada Labo's premium hyaluronic acid toner. Love it. Don't notice a smell, develops to a pretty color on my dead fish skin. Clarins was known for its self tanners way back in the day.

I have tried several clarins tanning for their reputation, as you mention. I haven't found the drops, but did find various lotions and serums, without much luck (smell isn't bad, comparable to most tanners). I have to say light/medium TAN-LUXE drops mixed with anything you use to moisturize has really been a favorite. Still trying to find one as good, natural, bronzey and dare I say, better than when I got UV color (better in both shade and evenness). I'll keep looking for the drops from Clarins. May have just had some expired attempts.

I like the tan luxe for just my face. It’s perfect for that. I also use the tan luxe that’s specifically for the face. Love your videos btw and so glad you always mention scent since I’m EXTREMELY sensitive to that and it’s saved me money and actual headaches. Thank you! 😊

@@CarlosMoreno-zj2li I use the one for the Face and it says Light/Medium on the bottle - weird huh? It depends on how many drops you use as to how dark it can get. I usually put three to four drops because I’m very fair. Hope that helps!

I use tan luxe on my face too! And my boyfriend and I have decided it smells like mustard when I'm putting it on! But I like how gradual it is and I can use more or less depending on the season. But I hate the smell!

Yep tried all 3 and all the others on the market 😂 the Tan Luxe STINKS! But I do like the colour, I'm Spanish so quite dark anyway but this still shows up on me and doesn't seem to go orange. I LOVE Isle of Paradise for my legs, it doesn't smell of fake tan, just aloe, and it's always my go to. Tanologist is also great, I have a LOT of their products! There's a hyaluronic face one that you don't mix with lotion that I LOVE and use most days. ❤

I use IOP in medium. I primarily use it on my legs and face, as they never tan. I use it just so I don't glow in the dark. I do not want a dark tan, as it would look completely fake on me. Thanks for the review. Someday I may try Tanologist due to your review.

I'm almost out of Tan-luxe and will try Tanologist. I never had an issue with smell with Tan luxe. I liked it using your tips. only one time did I get orange on my knee cap. I like hand over using the mitt.. and it's cheaper so there's that. thanks for the good reviews. I prefer drops as I prefer the lighter lotions & others are thicker & I don't like color guard ones like the foams. You have taught me all I've needed to have a great Tan w/out being in direct sun♡ what do you think of Vitamin C Serums? especially this brand, Noche Y Dia.

Would you consider trying beauty by earth tanning lotion? I love it but the application is kind of annoying. This is what I do with IOP tanning drops in Medium. Gives me a VERY even perfect tan. I put a ton of drops in my container of LUSH body lotion (like 20 drops) and about 15-17 drops in my Kiehl's face moisturizer. Making sure to really get in my hair line, behind the ears, on the ears, eyes, literally everywhere. Can't even tell i have fake tanner on. It gradually fades, ive never dealth with patchy and I have dry skin! The biggest plus for me is it takes away my redness, evens my skin tone all over, doesn't break out my acne prone skin and hides my blue veins! Literally the best stuff I've ever used!

Thanks for the video! Have only tried Tan Luxe and love it but agree it leans orange and I have a very warm skin tone. Will definitely try Tanologist to save some $! Also, I always thought the number of drops recommended was for each section; not total application. I use 10 for legs for example for a deep tan and only 2 for the tops of my hands. That math typically works for me. Maybe that’s where the big discrepancy is for you! Thanks again!

Also, moisturize knees and elbows first! Then go in with the drops and lotion mix. Self tanners tend to "stick" to those areas.

Defo recommended tanologist self tan water! Easy to apply and dries almost instantly. Perfect if you’re lazy and can’t be bothered to spend 30 minutes on application and another hour waiting for it to dry!

One application will give you a nice natural looking tan, then if you do it again the next day it will take it to another level! Also saw a tik tok hack of a girl pouring it into one of those popular Amazon continuous mist bottles for a better application and I’m definitely going to try it!
