Parts of that were like trail running on a bike, with sharp gravel. "Once the energy's flowing, I need to just keep flowing." I can dig what you're saying...

You're right Dan, a good time on the bikes with friends even if it's not our favourite place to ride. Cheers for now 👍

Nice ride and route Mike and Julie very well done, pleased to see you have recovered from your injured leg Julie. Quite a variety of terrain along the route. I had a surprise the other day going up the edge of a wheat field seen one of those mini tornados going across the field throwing everything into the air. By the time i thought about getting my camera out and finally got it out my pocket it had gone. Have yourselves a wonderful week.

This ride was the weekend before Mrs Wheeler had her lie down

You guys ride any kind of trail. I try to avoid singletracks but sometimes end up there. Good to have a gravel bike that handles any kind of trail if needed. Great ride. 👍

We managed to ride the ride so the gravel bikes were up to the task, maybe more so than the riders.😁🚴

I'm not as keen on single track I'd rather have the Gravel trails given the choice. My Liv Avail does cope well with pretty much anything, 👍👌🙂 Hope you're enjoying a bit of rest after your 360 miles! 👍👌🙂

You makes us sound intrepid, luckily we're rarely more than a few miles from a coffee shop 😁🚲 Cheers Chris👍

Hiya, many thanks for this video. Just proves the inadequacies of gravel bikes where Mtb would have been the right tool. Anyway nice ride. Could you send me the riute please. Many thanks. Ken

It's all relative, the ride was harder but we did it, the ride to and from the ride was easier. I think an XC would be enough on the ride which might be not so bad on the road. Cheers for commenting

Yep been thinking of fitting 45s on my gravel. I've got a problem with my front wheel touching my foot on tightish corners when pedalling and this has been exacerbated with going to 40mm tyres from 37s so I gues a 45 would be dangerous. Do you have this issue or a way to work around it? Maybe it's more noticable when riding climbs that are really meant for MTBs where there are tight switchbacks ridden at slow speeds? Maybe I've found another benefit of the MTB over the gravel bike when riding in terrain that you wouldn't normally ride a gravel bike? You've done a great job on the giant btw

Yes, toe overlap can happen when riding slow, we notice it the most on foot bridges which would be our equivalent of MTB switchbacks 😀 Strangely it doesn't happen as often now.. The Giant now has 45s but I'm not sure the pressure quite right yet. As we tend to ride to the rides there's always a temptation to put too much air in. Cheers for commenting
