I am about 5 minutes into the video and see the Riley Elf at 4:51. With the wood dash (very nice) I thought for a fleeting moment that the car might have a beige leather interior....🙂 The real minis make the ersatz MINIS look like big balloons. I prefer the unmodified cars: they seem to have a "purity of form" that is lacking on others.

Yes, the Classic Minis are absolutely tiny compared with anything modern. The Riley Elf was extremely nice, sir, although I don't believe that it was a beige leather interior, sadly....

Fabulous. I love every Mini City model. I love all of the Cooper Sports. I love the Mini Clubman HL Estate from 1979/80. My absolute favourite is the Mini 25 1100 cc in Metallic Red, not silver. I need a Classic Mini.

Sir, glad you enjoyed this part of the video! The Clubman Estate is a surprisingly good looking package in its own way for some reason.

The 1499GT mini is a 2017 to 2018 think you said it was a 2007 to 2008 and I think you are right its a F56 think the five door is a F55. I think Austin Powers did have a mini in one of the of the film's. A great first part of this shuffle Sir, look forward to another mini adventure soon!

Can't remember what I said, sir, but I meant 2017-18, as that 1499 GT is clearly a 67 plate! I find a lot of the BMW era Mini model codes a little bit on the confusing side, but am very slowly getting there...

The black Mini "Check Mate" near the start would have been sold at the same time as the "Racing Green" version I had in the early 2000s (sold new 1989-1990). Like the Cooper in style but with the 998cc engine and based on the City. It had the sealed non opening rear side windows. At the same time you could also buy the limited edition Mini "Sky" (white with light blue roof) and "Rose" (also white but with pink roof).

Sir, if the Mini Rose isn't in this part, then it will be appearing in the next one, which I put up last night. The number of Mini special editions which were around at the time was absolutely crazy!

I think the Modified Mini with Lambo Doors was on Petrol Ped last year.
