Hey there! We are headed to IRNP this September and found your channel looking for information. It seems we are doing a similar route that you took. Cheers from fellow Michiganders Colleen and Jonny (we have subscribed too)

No shelters when I was there so slept with the baby moose(s) and wolf pups who were learning to howl!

Greetings! Thanks for posting. I'm heading to Isle Royale later in the season. Can you share how you are keeping your camera batteries charged? THANK YOU! Jannet

I used a GoPro and a Canon point and shoot camera for still photos and a little bit of video at the end when my GoPro finally died. I brought a small power bank and charged the GoPro on the 5th day. The other camera had a fully charged battery when I started and it stays charged quite long. I was careful about only powering on the cameras during video and photo shooting to reserve power.

@@yooperventures2830 Thank you! Did you use a solar panel? I brought one last time only 7 watts, bu there are newer version, like 20 or 28 watts. (I've got a Canon Gx7iii.) Thanks again for sharing your tech!

How did you get across the sketchy portion? Seems like a good time of year to go. No bugs or crowds. Did you send up your tent or use shelters?

I carefully skirted around the damaged boardwalk section on whatever piece of solid ground I could. Most of it was submerged just a few inches. I wore waterproof Keen Targhee II hiking boots and knee high Outdoor Research water resistant gaiters. Amazingly my feet never got wet. I stayed in shelters the entire trip simply because they were available. Having slept in tents so many nights throughout my life I find the Isle Royale shelters a unique experience.

It has an SOS button and enables you to send preprogrammed text messages showing your location. Since I am approaching 60 years I use it for safety in areas where there is no cell phone reception.

Music way too loud for the volume of your voice!

I don't recall ever talking while the music was playing. Sorry it bothered you.

Thank you for the input. I am definitely not the greatest video creator. I will try to work on my volume transitions a little better in future videos.
