This shit right here. Just keep making these. You had asked earlier on that live stream what kind of videos to make. My friend just keep doing what you di. You throw so much information out that I end up watching yours and the other content creators videos over and over till I finally absorb what I can and apply it to what I’m trying to accomplish. Thank you for the information you provide and all the other great mycogods on here give us. 🍄 ❤️

@@edwardgrand A few years ago a buddy introduced these lovely little fun guys to me again. I loved what they did. I tried my hand at growing. Failed and said fuck it I’ll just do without. Went about 6 months before I tried again. And with all the help and knowledge that you and the others provided helped me out big time. I would watch and be a bit confused because this world was all new with new terms and equipment to learn and work with. I watched again and again till I finally understood. Some of y’all have a way to drill that info into our heads that work. We all learn differently. Stay who you are because that’s what hooked me in your vid’s. And I think a nipple comment too. You keep making them. We will watch.

Omg I never thought about the difference between whether the culture was grown in a bag or tub but it makes so much sense now!! Thanks Ed!
@edwardgrand Жыл бұрын
I have switched from tubs/bags/tents/shoeboxes, etc. so many time. It is definitely worth the time to clone the phenotype/genotype from a multispore grow that suits your techniques and growing conditions. I feel like it takes me at least one round of spore/swab to fruit, then another round of those spores to fruit, and then a clone. That is usually when they start producing much more consistently.

Have you seen my needle biopsy video? Great way to clone directly to LC when you get a phenotype you like.

Does spore drop on substrate hurt additional flushes?
@edwardgrand Жыл бұрын
I pick them before the spores drop unless I'm getting prints. I haven't noticed much difference in subsequent flushes, but I also soak my cakes, so this probably removes the spores that might have dropped.
@juanbait9670 Жыл бұрын
@@edwardgrand seems logical, i was planning on some FAFO after a few flushes to test these sort of things. Another question, a spore print from a clone will/should produce several phenos? Or is the gene pool going to suffer from bottle necking from presumably only having two parents?
@edwardgrand Жыл бұрын
@Juan Bait a spore print of any cultigen is a virtually unlimited source of phenotypes. I don't see any bottleneck. I think all the genes are still in most cultigens. Most things are not that far from a wild cube. Lots of reverts, etc. We just have to find and select for the ones we find desirable.

@@edwardgrand thanks for the information, perhaps you could do a video recomending some helpful books?

Thanks Ed was just needing this. Jack Frost just busted the veil. Could I get a print off Jack Frost if I wait???
@edwardgrand Жыл бұрын
You need to swab it. The spores are translucent, so you'll only see the bruising and blue stain on the cotton bud after about 30 seconds. Just pass over the gills lightly. That will be thousands of spores. No need to mash it in there like I saw on a recent video. LMFAO
