Thanks for making videos like this Marco. I completed your pixel art course on Udemy and really enjoyed it. Videos like this really help to supplement what I've learnt. Thanks again!

Miss your content, hope you’re doing well. I still come back and watch your old content because I really like the way you narrate out your work.

Hey, I appreciate that! I've been a bit overwhelmed with personal work and freelance so I haven't had the time, or even made much pixelart, to be honest, except for a specific game. But I'll get back to it!!!

question .. why make it in photoshop and not illustrator ??
@MarcoValeKaz5 жыл бұрын
Illustrator is vector based. It harder to work at pixel level. Photoshop is raster/bitmap based. It's original format is pixels

Beautifully done! Could you please explain a little more about the cone? I dont quite understand how you explained it in the video and im very interested in learning.
@adriandeveraaa4 жыл бұрын
Do you have an image of this base tile? that I may use as reference
@MarcoValeKaz4 жыл бұрын
@@adriandeveraaa I don't think I understand what you mean with the cone. do you mean the purple shape behind the tile?
@adriandeveraaa4 жыл бұрын
MarcoValeKaz yes that is was I am referring to! Also do you have a base for it so I can use as reference? It’s difficult to see the height and width in your video.
@MarcoValeKaz4 жыл бұрын
@@adriandeveraaa oh each tile is 32 pixels across, and is 6 pixels tall (the dirt bit). the cone is basically a shape that tells me how much I'll be covering the tile behind it if I make my details too tall
@adriandeveraaa4 жыл бұрын
MarcoValeKaz does this cone apply to tiles when adding height like a wall and corner as well? So 32px widths day what height? Also I usually animate and create my characters in 64 width. Does that mean I should upscale my isometric tile to 64 width?

I see the attack on titan sweatshirt on. Did you get to watch episode 50? It's only subbed atm but you should check it out.

Is there a chance you could do something with aesprite?
@MarcoValeKaz4 жыл бұрын
I not only own aseprite, but have used a couple of times. I just am WAY faster in photoshop. But the concepts apply anyway. I suggest MortMort's tutorials for learning aseprite

MarcoValeKaz I have looked into he’s videos, I keep making these sprites that just seem so off and not correctly done. Even something as simple as making a box or apple they don’t look right after I create them.
