My issue with Ironman is that the HoI4 Frontline AI *really* likes fucking things up for me!

That's why I almost always prefer field marshal level orders. Even though they are a pain to add new armies and divisions too, and can get really messed up if you hit a neutral border, they don't just break apart like orders from individual armies and always readjust to more or less the entire front line. Of course, fallback lines will provide even more rigid cohesion for defense.

​@@lewisjennings9043 Shift click when assigning a field marshall frontline to make a sub-divisionless line (basically it just sends all the units to the line like a regular army order). This way your line will be the same thickness throughout + you can add more armies easy.

I did it too. Sadly before it could begin into a game my Lithuanian puppet (I thought you could restore the commonwealth with a Lithuanian puppet, but I must've been mistaken) that I was just going to annex in 3 days got declared war on by Germany for not giving up Memel. And my troops were still celebrating the conquest of the Baltics. It was a desperate defense against the German onslaught but there was nothing I could do.

I think the quickest a game turned south, was as Democratic Germany. When I built the Alliance against Communism, Poland joined, then proceeded to declare war on Russia, the UK, America, Japan, and China, within the space of a week. I don't know what happened, but that game turned impossible in an instant.

Tim Cain is someone id love to pick their brains about modern fallout ideas in retrospect to his original design. I fell in love with the series with 3, then new vegas and 1 and 2. I love fallout 1. Its a game that i can restart and just play to neceopolis and feel better. Killian and Gizmo are two of my favorite characters. Fallout 2 has my favorite villain, Frank Horrigan. Plus i just love the scale it had. 3 was what got ke into the aeries and the lore. I was 9-10 when it came out and my cousin gave me his copy he didnt like it. It had Liam Neason, and i just love the enclave in that game which made me love fallout 2 even more. I hate fallout 4,and 76.

You haven't seen stuff go wrong until you see Egypt, puppetee by the UK... Who decided to name it British Britain (Game also had France survive in that one island south of inda with a few dozen people as it's capital, due to it being in a faction with me (Greece) as it's leader Oh, and they retained their whole fleet, and a few tank divisions there WW2 still going semi historical (Poland invaded, USSR and Germany at war, Italy in the Axis, and just as incompetent as usual, except France declared war on Britain, which is how France ended up dead, Allies at war with the Axis USA at war with Fascist Britain (though British Britain is still democratic...) And with only half of Greece, a civil war on the way (also in America and Germany...), an every diminishing navy (the Soviets sunk most of it, although I sank all Italian capital ships so... Oh, I ended up at war with everyone but the full Little Entente, who I'm the only living member of besides France Unfortunately they don't have the range to get their navy of that Island ...) In short, Hoi4 historical can be really cursed because the game tries to balance against the nonsense you do It would get worse with historical off, doubly so with R56
