The french Just slowly pushed us back over the centuries because the HRE couldn't defend a lettuce leaf from a carnivore If they tried. 1:04 I did some cursory searches and Martinez being specifically "Fascist" is apparently totally accurate, he and his top brass took a special liking to Hitler and Mussolini and invited military officials from both of their nations to come train his military in '36 in exchange for coffee. El Salvador's government and military supported the Axis up until 1941 when Martinez was finally pressured to flip his support to the Allies, who the average Salvadoran *actually* supported.

I recently played El Salvador (no mods or anything, all dlcs before la résistance) and it was kinda fun. Reformed the USCA, and since Britain decolonized and Jamaica was the faction leader of the decolonized faction, so I declared war and got most of the British’s old colonies.

I played El Salvador just the other day to form Centro America, one of the cheesiest strats to playing them is joining the Axis if Germany is losing the civil war and fucking becoming the new leader. Doesn't really do much but it gives you a free faction in 1936 and makes the Axis pink. Got Spain to join fairly quickly. This was also the also the same game Brazil/Argentina joined the Międzymorze so give or take.

1:04 that is accurate. The party of the time was called National Pro Patria Party and the President Hernández Martínez was its leader after becoming President. It had record registration among women I've heard. They enacted some racial labour laws prioritizing the Salvadorian worker and banning other "perfidious" races from immigrating to the country and focused mainly on infrastructure. El Salvador at the time effectively had the only National Socialist government in the region and perhaps the continent. so many public works that still benefit El Salvador to this day can be traced back to that government. Even foreigners who travel on the pan American highway can thank the President Hernández Martínez for having the Salvadorian portion completed. his presidency ended 1944 coinciding with the downfall of fascism and third position around the world. There is a nice letter from Freiherr Von Neurath on behalf of Adolf.H dated February 21, 1935 to the President Hernández Martínez expressing "fraternal friendship" and some diplomatic appointments El Salvador was also friendly with Japan and Italy of course and was the first country in the world (after Japan technically) to recognize Manchukuo as a country

I’m a very player ngl, but I’ve done a semi successful game as El Salvador. Basically I joined the axis and rushed conquering all of Central America. With Germany sending troops in along with you being fascist from the start is pretty good for a country in the Americas.

At least most cruddy nations are surrounded by other cruddy nations that can be conquered to make you somewhat less cruddy. Liberia is completely surrounded by French Africa. They also start Democratic so you can't do anything until world tension is high.

Hey ISP, as someone who conquered the world as Guatemala, here are some tips that may help you. As Guatemala, you can have I believe 8 chorium, which you can use to your advantage, build some heavy tanks and subs right away. CAS is a must have, they will help you greatly. Research paratroopers right away, you can use them to jump to Panama and capitulate them by dropping them across the Panama Dam or wherever its called. If you play on non-historical (I do) Mexico will usually declare war on you, or have about two civil wars. But first, go fascist as quickly as possible, you can form the Central American Empire before 1938 ends.
