Well, I kind agree with him a bit. He got his instant rematch because he held the belt for a while, beat everyone else in the division, beat Robert Whittaker twice and even though he got KO'ed, he was beating Alex until the end. Alex got fast tracked to him with very favorable match ups, knocked him out but now they're even in MMA and Alex doesn't have much of a mma body of work. So Alex should go knock out a couple of guys to get a rematch. But I'd rather see 205 Alex. Both him and the division could use it.

Adesanya got his leg smashed and he went to the fence for support, he then got caught with a combo on the guard that kind of broke through but as soon as he felt the left hook come through the guard Adesanya knew the consequence of throwing his right hand had been used and wasted on his guard so he could throw the right hand which Alex has always been vulnerable too because of his kickboxing defence. Adesanya landed the exact same right hand he did in the first round of their last fight which nearly put Alex out and he just doubled up and hit him with another right hand directly after it. Adesanya was in big trouble and was in no shape to go 5 rounds with his leg, HE HAD to end it right there and then.

Alex was give the title shot because there were a lack of contenders for the belt at the time. Certainly none that had as compelling a story as Alex v Izzy. Now that izzy has defeated Alex, he should have to go back and win a few against other contenders to be considered for the rubber match. Izzy had 6 defenses and was winning the fight up until the stoppage. He should have been given the immediate rematch. I dont think Alex has earned the same consideration here.

Yeah, but because it's 1-3 and despite how he won this fight he has to prove he can do it again. I think this goes 6-1 in a best of 7 series. I also think a rematch would be a different fight for adesanya because he's not dealing with a relaxed and disarmed Pereira anymore.
