As a Lebanese let me give you some insights: Hezbolla is an Iranian militia formed in Lebanon to serve Iran, fight the blues and free p@lestine. It does not care about Lebanon it is massively controlled by Iran it then formed a political party and penetrated the Lebanese Parliament to protect its weapons and keep the country weak. It all happened during the civil war where Christian and Muslim militias were fighting each other to dominate the region. The Iranian involvement in Lebanon's politics and the influence of the Muslims massively grew after the assassination of Bachir al Gemayel. Fighting this war is not in Lebanon's interests so the Christians have been constantly asking hezbolla to hand over its weapons to the army. The Lebanese civilians do not want this war. The only regime who wants this is Iran (hezbolla) and before them was the PLO (Palestine Liberation Organisation)

Part 2: during the civil there was kind of like a stratigic coalition between Izrl, bachir el gemayel and other Christian militias vs the PLO and the Muslim militias. Izrl wanted to limit the power of the PLO who was attacking izrl from south of Lebanon and create a Christian president to stabilise Lebanon who was then bachir al gemayel. However the assassination of the president led to the deterioration of a solid independent peaceful Lebanon and now what we're left with is hezballa. Izrl now attacks the south of Lebanon where hezblla resides and parts of beirut where Muslims reside. That's why you see a lot of Lebanese immigrants. We do not want this. We do not want isrl to invade and we do not want to be controlled by Iran.
