Thank you for such a deep analysis. The song is a message and is full of symbolism :from clothing , light to dance. The song starts at sunrise - the time of the Hamas invasion - 6.30 am. October 6 was a Jewish holiday, and the next morning, October 7, a hurricane hit Israel from Gaza: rape, dismemberment, burning alive, ripping open the bellies of pregnant women, dismembering and killing more than 1,400 babies, children, women and men . The circle of people around Eden Golan are young people, who came to dance at the Nova festival - a festival of light and love in nature. About 400 young people were brutally killed there. They were shot like safari animals. An inverted tree is about people who were torn out of life or taken captive from their homes like trees, uprooted... The olive tree is a symbol of peace in Israel. Israel is still reeling from the October 7, 2023 hurricane and we are still trying to recover 134 hostages. But Israel will definitely defeat evil and terror and we will definitely dance again.

It is great, that the music video has such a deep meaning for the country! I just hope that politics will not have any negative effect on the Israeli result this year
@ayalago79 ай бұрын
The olive tree symbolizes peace and also the Golani Brigade who fought and are fighting since October 7 to return the kidnapped and restore sanity to the free world. The war of democracies - the "light in the darkness" of radical terrorism.

@@JustESCAnalyst thank you for your unbiased, professional take and your obvious support to the Israeli candidate. As an Israeli I have been watching plenty of channels such as yours, engaging with the public analyzing and critiquing the countries' entries for the Eurovision. Artists use art for expression. At this point, Israel has absolutely no other topic of discussion than the horrifying you call it "important events" I think of October 7. In Israel we breath the news daily, hoping for a glimpse of information about our 133 people kidnapped in Gaza. In less than 6 endless months, we were able to gather and mount a full production to the Eurovision. Regardless of the outcome, and yes, thank you for validating the wholesome and magnificent Eden Golan. So regardless of the outcome, the Eurovision is a symbol of how we are as a nation in Israel. We care about each other, we are united, we bleed and breath at the same time, and we keep walking on step at a time. It is Eden's time to shine. I think she is doing it more for us as a country than for her, to win this contest. So please let her chose the way she wants to present and if it's too much, then thank you for seeing our pain. Best and thank you!
@brynawaldman57908 ай бұрын
An additional meaning of the inverted tree is that it is the Tree of Life which shows the steps G-d took on to create creation. The Tree grows down. It's roots are in G-d. Those who died at the Nova Festival returned to G-d.

I think it should be mentioned that the 'disturbing' dance moves in the beginning of the clip are meant to show the NOVA festival goers. It's symbolic. it's also disturbing, because it is clear this song was written after the events. I suppose for people who are not truly connected to the events it would look strange; yes. But I think they also did it for the local audience. And the locals do understand exactly what is going on. Your review was very good, and I like the way to show us similar tunes from your memory! something I would never be able to do. I am glad you are doing these reaction videos so professionally and beautifully presented. I really hope you will continue to entertain us via KZbin. Congratulations!

У певицы дырка на майке от смертельного выстрела . "Мы все были убиты на этом фестивале". Конечно, педалируется тема сексуального насилия над женщинами. Очень тяжёлая песня, да.

Armenia and Azerbaijan are also in conflict (and of course Ukraine and other countries) but somehow only Israel is singled out. Also - what is political about a song that commemorates the victims of the worst most horrific massacre in modern times? It commemorates music lovers who were slaughtered at a music festival for peace - that's somehow political?! 😕

You spot on.. the dancing is out of context but for a good reason. The dancing has a different rhythm from the song. the type of rhythm you have in a trance music festival or what we call in Israele a ‘nature party’. So this particular dancing is there to show what happened to young people who came to celebrate love and peace and lost their life in the attack of terror. #wewilldanceagain

Crazy how we reach a point that reacting to a song needs almost an apology... Anyway, it's a good song but not a potential winner song. Thanks for the deep dive on all the SF songs, hope you do the same for the "big 5 + 1"

Never say never. I think the live will elevate the song with Edens angelic beautiful magical voice and it will be the most mesmerizing entry of the year filled with lots of emotions. It will reach many peoples heart and will go very very far in the competition. Further than we may think.

I actually think Israel is going to win! Just wait and see. Israel have more lovers then haters... and Edens singing and the dancers choreography is AMAZING!// Love and light from Sweden 🙏🏼💙💙💛💛🌟

6:12 The dancers and their movement is to symbolize the Nova dancers who were slaughtered by the worst evil on earth on that horrible day for humanity. They will dance forever in the Sky above us 👼. Thank you for an honest, fair and a-political review 💙🤍

Highly professional analysis, thank you 🙂 One thing I can recommend you is not pausing the song so many times, it ruins the fun, people like to watch reactions that play the song without any pause, then comes all the talking.
@JustESCAnalyst9 ай бұрын
Thanks! Oh, I wish KZbin would be more flexible :) but in the today’s KZbin world, then I would have to carve out the whole song reaction due to the copyright issues…and talking while the song is playing I find a bit rude and unfair, cause some parts I will surely miss

You are right, I forgot to mention, that she is actually born in Israel :) but her parents are native Russian speakers and she has spent 12 years in Russia (and she is now 20, so most of her life actually)

I like your overall reaction to this song, the background information you provide about the singer, and the detailed references to other songs. You also very clearly understand that this song is about the October 7 massacre and its subsequent effecta, unlike many other reaction KZbinrs who made videos about this song. So given this understanding, it is silly to avoid naming the event in your commentary. Much love.

It was on 7/10, half a year ago that hundreds of young people who loved life, who danced, enjoyed and loved, in their most beautiful hours - were slaughtered, tortured, kidnapped and raped - by terrorists who loved death. And it was at the Nova festival in Israel, after a night of dancing. It's not just her great voice - it's real pain that comes through in the song.

Great reaction. It amazes me that you need to be apologetic about such basic and self explanatory matters. This song is corresponding with the Nova festival massacre. If someone is deliberately ignoring it, they should check their moral clarity. Antisemitism is so 1930
