I will just quote Dr. Fauci (long time ago): "The best vaccine is getting infected and having natural immunity"
@danhall34502 жыл бұрын
Once upon a time, that was generally true. "Street" immunity acquired naturally from most infectious diseases historically has trumped immunity from vaccination. Unfortunately with Covid, that is not necessarily true. There are many instances of people who developed symptomatic, confirmed Covid-19, who later on developing another symptomatic, confirmed Covid-19. Covid-19 is a true conundrum and we have yet to crack the code completely.
@bullymaguire6322 жыл бұрын
He was talking specifically about influenza Although it ended up being true for covid too, natural immunity is more effective than vaccine, it's too risky to get natural immunity without getting vaccinated first If you have had covid already, then I don't care, you don't need the vaccine If you haven't had covid already, get vaccinated (This is what I would say about adults. Kids and teens needing the vaccine or not is debateable)

I suspect you are correct in your assumptions as to why we either didn’t get Covid or as my husband just had the latest version. On the vaccine effectiveness per day, I saw the same pattern almost a year ago when a colleague was circulating her preprint for time-varying vaccine effectiveness. We work at our state department of health, so we have access to all recorded cases and the vaccination registry. In that first draft, the plot of vaccine effectiveness against time, the effectiveness was super high (like 70%) at time zero, nose dived, actually crossed zero into negative effectiveness all within the first week then gradually went up to a peak weeks after then started to wane. Same pattern you just showed. I modeled the problem and concluded that it’s a modeling artifact caused by the change in behavior of the vaccinees just after vaccination. It’s very unlikely you get infected the same day you get vaccinated, much less test positive or even bother to get tested (just think about it: who would go get a vaccine and then squeeze in a Covid test right after? It’s weird. If you suspect that you’re infected you wouldn’t go get vaccinated ) Also after the dose, people typically stay home to recover and don’t expose themselves. These are behavioral changes associated with the vaccination event but are not related to the vaccine physiologically, but the statistical methods that are used in these sort of studies can’t see that: the math only knows vaccinated group vs control group.

You are so right. have a look into this study and my thoughts. .cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/70/wr/mm7013e3.htm#T1_down fill in the 3 w's. Some remarks after doing a little bit of digging in the papers of this study. 1) why on earth did they exclude persons who already had an infection ?? It would have been a small effort to research possibillity of re-infection , and or the naturally immunized people would sometimes carry the virus by pcr test. 2) from the big pcr test pilot in a town nearby it appeared quickly that roughly 30 percent of tested people had no symptoms but tested positive. ( roughly 15 to 20 percent of this county took a test, so quite representative for population) That high percentage of tested positive WITHOUT symptons shows that more people are exposed to corona then expected. That is probably also an indication for herd immunity. But as no immune tests were performed that is not certain. Why I mention this test pilot is that more people then expected are already exposed. ( at least in the Netherlands) The same is seen in the study of the CDC, amongst primary health care workers infections were only 18 on a group of app 890 whereas other first responders ( firemen , etc) had a much higher infection rate app 60 to 70 despite the vaccination on group of about 900-1300. It looks like that primary health care workers have had more exposure, which can be logical, to the corona virus without getting symptoms and thereby already creating an immune response BEFORE getting vaccinated. And after 1th vaccination shot their immunesystem is better in defense then who has not been exposed to corona virus before vaccination. This maybe could support the exosome theory . 3) when looking at hours worked it appears that the unvaccinated group of 932 people worked , according to numbers in the study 116.000 working days , which are 125 working days. But the vaccinated group of 2961 people worked ( in total) 119.900 working days which are 40,50 working days in the period of this study. That means that the vaccinated group worked app. 3 times less days in the trial. And was , probably, also exposed 3 times less to people infected with covid which also would lower chance getting infected. With such huge difference in the amount of days worked it is highly necassary to know or the unvaccinated group worked more hours in , for example the second wave compared to the vaccinated group. 4) if the above at point 3 is not corrected for then the table from which the incident rate of infection is estimated cannot be used. Because they worked many more days and exposed more to corona then the vaccinated group. Therefore the part of the table should be used where only cases of infection are mentioned. That is 161 infections for the unvaccinated group. And a total of 11 infections in the vaccinated group. ( correct me if wrong) . But the unvaccinated group worked 3,1 times more days. That , very unscientific, would equal 11*3,1=34 infections in the vaccinated group. A short conclusion would be then that the vaccine lowers the chance on infection app 4 times instead of the calculated 25 times lower incident rate. ( incident rate unvaccinated 1.38 per 1000 working days , 1 time vaccinated 0.2 per 1000 working days, 2 time vaccinated 0.04 per 1000 working days) The above puts this study in a whole different perspective. To be very blunt , if the word vaccine would have been replaced with, e.g. , IVERMECTIN, in this research paper , and exactly the same results were achieved, it would have been butchered by many. I am not saying there are no results, but as many other studies on non regular medications are butchered for smaller flaws , ending up as called : there seems to be a positive thingy but : too small placebo group , uncertainty of sample taking, uncertainty of other drugs interaction or profylaxis effect of drugs, etc etc...... so no conclusions can be made....What should I think of this study???

One assumes "Fizzer" already has done considerable work in the area of Vaccine Induced Immune Deficiency. Otherwise things do not look too good for the inoculated.

I can't thank you enough for all the time you have taken to cover these super important issues. Sadly, until a bunch of people get inexplicably sick wanting answers, nobody seems to care any more, heck, the majority never really did. It astounds me to this day that people willingly jabbed themselves with a drug with ZERO long term data, NONE. Understanding the devastating effect of chronic illness on people's lives, it floors me to see how easily everyone accepts the blaringly obvious failure of the system to check itself. Unbridled profits have completely superceded the importance of proper protocol.

I don't understand: if Comernaty is FDA approved how can they legally (under the FDA mandate) continue to issue EUA's ???

Because it's not FDA approved. It's still an EUA medicine

Wow! Well beyond Covid, FANTASTIC VIDEO! Perfect example for the importance of Peer Review by professionals, like the doc here. Learned a lot, one point being my laymen knowledge is nowhere near sufficient to understand the ins and outs of medical studies. Also points to the absolute requirement for peer review sources we can trust. Returning to covid, those sources sorely lacking these days. Thank you Doctor. Saved this one!

Hi Dr Prasad. Agree with everything you say here. I think talking about relative risks is worth a discussion. Some graphics I saw from the study showed that the severe disease rate with the 3 dose group was about 4 per 100000. The 4 dose group had a rate of around 1.5 per 100000. I’ll take my chances.

Your podcast is new to me. I appreciate the message and the approach you have taken to deliver a much-needed summary regarding representative industries and bureaucracies that protect from view such inadequate follow-through and also closely held information that must be on hand. I will be looking for more of your welcome work.

I think you're right. I've been reading around and it looks like that's what it was supposed to be, but Dr. Malone and the wifey never got the grants to finish. If everything I read is accurate I wouldn't recommend it at all if people are sure they've had it, or if it's a healthy kid. Absolutely criminal. ( not you, you can only go off what you can get. and I absolutely appreciate you) Keep up the good work

I've been listening to almost everything you put out since I heard you, ZDogg and Marty Makary a few months ago. You are my favorite voice on these topics. Have you done a similar analysis to today's to the original paper showing efficacy of 2 doses vs placebo? And if not, would you consider doing a such an analysis of the original paper?

Love the videos, I've learned a ton about epidemiology and medical science in general, lots of which gives me insights into methods in my field as an ecologist. I wish, however, that you'd take a serious, critical, in depth look at ivermectin and other early treatments. Unless I've missed it, I get that sense that you casually dismiss them, but have never dug into them.

@John Lowell really? Look at the many popular channels that are profiting from promoting IVM. You compare the views of those channels and the ones about real science and the Pro IVM ones are much more profitable.

If profit is the primary motivator, from a certain perspective you could argue that they have actually done themselves a disservice by not being open and honest. As far as longevity is concerned, how much public trust has been eroded through their own actions, how much suspicion have they created around their products and how much damage have they done to medicine, science and authority in general. Short term profits- long term distrust.
