Want to know what Israelis and Palestinians in the Middle East really think about the conflict? Ask a question and I will get answers.
Arabs from the Middle East ask Israelis questions. I go out and ask random people to answer. Sahar from Morocco in the Facebook group Yala-Young Leaders asks what Israelis think of a one state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

I personally agree with your comment as someone who lives here. It is just not practical at this point. And yes, most Israeli Jews look Middle Eastern- that is why I make the videos, to show real people. There is so much misinformation about Israelis and Palestinians, people involved (like you) need to know the reality if we are ever going to find solutions that benefit everyone.

This is the question I want to be asked - so now I know not to ask you to ask it! I think the answers given don't really explore the idea fully, and there seems to be an awkwardness about it. Like, it's an obvious idea that people ignore all the time, and then to be asked about it seems strange. The one towards the end that joked about Gazan labour being cheap reveals the underlying acceptance of inequality and exploitation and a lack of commitment to equality. I was saddened to see, when you asked "Who would be in charge", nobody answered "It should be shared". The idea that it's a nice idea in theory but difficult to see how it could be done in practice - how to get from here to there - is understandable. But while some people brought up the issue of how big the two countries in a two-state solution are/would be, no-one brought up the fact that Jews and Arabs are intertwined in each others' territories right now - in Israeli Arabs and Jewish settlers - that a one-state solution would enable both ethnic groups to live in all different parts of the one country, and that a Palestinian state built from the current occupied territories would mean half the population living on 20% of the land.

Cool video. But you got couple of things wrong. By saying "we are all together when there is peace", nobody meant (except for Anna which seems a bit clueless to me, based on the "details" she provided) for a one state solution, but for two countries that co-exist one next to the other. You also didn't translate Chaim correctly, he actually said that THERE IS enough room in the world for both countries - not the one.

Why do people only consider a one or two state solution, it is obvious that what is needed is a three state solution: Israel, Gaza and Palestine (West Bank)

Palestinians don't care about Arab countries, they prefer to live with Israelis than to live in Arab countries. Let's say there's the U.S, the U.K ,Australia, Canada, South Africa, Newzeland, so can you tell the Australian people go live in Canada and give us your country ? just because you speak the same language ? of course no also you can't tell Palestinians to go to Jordan or Egypt because simply it belongs to Jordanians and Egyptians. have a nice day

Actually Israel destroyed any solution for 2 states as they are expanding Jewish settlements over Palestinian lands on west bank, more borders between Palestinian cities, and Israeli cement wall which is captured more of lands....etc therfore the one democracy state Jewish and Arabs live together same situation was before 1948

@@MikeRosoftJH @MikeRosoftJH the most recent offer is this low and offers will keep getting worse and worse as they watch more settlements being built and rejecting everything. Barqck once offered arafat 97% of the land he asked for and arafat still saod no wanted right of return which we obviously cant do. What do you want from us? We obviously can't give any of jerusalem. We can't uprppt that many settlers. You can have gaza and the part of the westbank with no settlers. That us where we are now. say no and there will be more settlers and a bit less of the westbank for the next offer. Want no occupation like when we left gaza completely then accept real and pro longed peace and stop attacking.

@@MikeRosoftJH or keep grying to attack us. Keep voting hamas and send rockets and balloons, snipers and ppl to stab us. We will as always defend ourselves, respond to attacks, build more settlements and not let attacking us be rewarded. We know what they have always chosen for themselves. Unlike us, we were offered a smaller, inferior portion, not joined up properly either and we still accepted and danced in the streets because we are not so stupid and knew a state of our own was still great and better than not having one

Jews and Arabs did not live well together before 1948. There was no democracy. No reason why Jews can't live in settlements in a Palestinian state.

Israel was founded for the Jewish nation as a Jewish state with the approval and push of the LON and then the UN. They have a right to remain a Jewish state. This is again for the nation, not the religion per say as was founded to be with no discrimination based on race, color, sex, sexual preference or religion. This is from the Israeli declaration of independence. Unlike George Edwards presents it, the Jewish nationality is being favored only toward immigrating Jews getting citizenship much easier and having the anthem and the countries symbols presenting the jewish heritage symbols. That's it. None Jewish sectors in Israel are the opposite of being discriminated inside the officially sovereign lands of Israel, they enjoy plenty of *affirmative action* in every field. They don't go to the army or have to volunteer, they paid less taxes, get more social security support, get more benefits in advance in admissions to higher education, etc. The problem is with the lands which are not official sovereign, there you have millions of people which were basically Jordanians and now being split for so long demand their own state without accepting to be peaceful and loyal Israeli citizens, a state they don't deserve as it comes with a price Israel shouldn't pay both in matters of state and most importantly private properly rights and especially her people's security from uncontrolled physical violence. This is why it would have been ideal if some places which strongly against being Israeli would be allowed to be independent, separately and not only if Israel creates a territorial contiguity by force and ethnic cleansing of her own jewish citizens, then live how ever they want but understand that policing borders will always exist and they should have their passport on them. That is - again - only if they themselves as communities decides to not be peaceful Israeli citizens and prefers independence. Private people wanting otherwise can always leave or try to influence their community from the inside, Israel will not take a hand in dismantling any community or dislocating any one not involved in terrorism. We are all waiting for someone who can actually pull this off peacefully.

Lidorzaruk Lol yes arabas and ethopian Jews are not discriminatied there is no uneven funding where in jersualem Arabs recieve less than half of what jewish schools revieve and jersualem where only Jews region is exclusive for Jews and other is for everyone and many places where ethopian cant buy houses and even stared somehat black lives movement in Israel. Israel is beautiful place and I have real hope for it it becasue of the leftist zionist but sadly right is trying to destroy its legacy, to say no problem u are not helping anyone, belive me I would live in Israel as a Muslim that any other Arab state but lets work to make it better, thank you.

A referendum should be held for each city and village in the West Bank, which would prefer to live within the State of Israel or to separate in a small state where the Islamists could win and turn into a terrorist state Every village and every city will vote for the State of Israel. It can be annexed to Israel within the one-state solution and will be given Israeli citizenship without fear of demographic change because they chose Israel with their free will.
