Sce200 development started in 2009 with budget of 200+ million dollars. 15 years for a copied engine. I will be happy even if they make it better. Stuck with old mentality , 'move safely ' And compare to Merlin engine everyone knows it's not that good but still can be us upto 10 time but isro using hydraulic even for pump. So it can't reuse currently. Basically, we live in 2025 but will use rocket with 1980 tech. I love isro but if you invest that much time and money , make it from start and by yourself. Even we can't make the best , but will learn something. India will feel proud

The dry mass of SCE200 is 2700 kg which is two times than raptor engine if we assembled cluster of engine for heavy lift then it will eventually reduce the payload capacity as the engines are soo heavier
@MegaMine-cw5trАй бұрын
And also the size of sce 200 is big compare to raptor engine. So for clustering 30 sce engine you will need bigger rocket than starship but less powerful.
@Amrit5660Ай бұрын
@MegaMine-cw5tr yeah but now they will use 1100 kn of metholox engine for super heavy vehicle of NGLV class rockets SCE 200 might be used at initial but for lunar landing They are going to use metholox engine in NGLV
@MegaMine-cw5trАй бұрын
@Amrit5660 yes. Thrust is useless if we can't reduce the weight of the engine. So it's better to make a lighter engine like merlin but have enough thrust comapare to it's weight.
@Amrit5660Ай бұрын
@@MegaMine-cw5tr for lunar landing 1100 kn engines are enough with clustering, the main stuff is payload capacity to Leo must be more than 70 tons and it is possible and also for cargo they can launch multiple times. (Note: have a look on chinese manned lunar landing mission)

CONGRATULATIONS 👏👏👏🙌🙌🙌👍👍👍💪💪💪ISRO TEAM, Kya iss versh Semi Cryogenic Engine Test ho sakta hai ya Nahi??? Please Answer....😐 waiting 🙏🏻 2nd, Why our Engine Nozel ek BALTI jaisa hote hai jabki Foreign Countries ka Engine Nozel WINE GLASS jaisa hote hai??? Muje lagta hai ki WINE GLASS jaisa hone meh Bahoot Thrust Paida kerte hai as The Whole Flame GOES DOWN STRAIGHT So it PRODUCES MORE THRUST and it LIFT HEAVY WEIGHT Smoothly and GOES UP But in our Case the Engine is like BALTI so the Energy Of Thrust GOES SPREAD EVERYWHERE and it LOST the Thrust PRODUCING ONLY LIMITED THRUST so it CANNOT LIFT the Heavy Weight. Why our LVM 3 is Shorter and Wider where as other Foreign Countries Rocket is Longer and Thinner? I think in Physics The Balance is Needed in BOTH Height and Breath so it CAN STAND STEADY, if there is TOO LONGER it will FALL, iF too SHORTER it Also FALL, If it Too WIDER it Will Fall Also. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
