That plum slide is gorgeous and only something time can do. My Beretta 1915/19 had its slide go plum and a gunsmith suggested rebluing to restore it. I told him he was out of his mind as the two tone color is gorgeous.

@@fallenromulus He had one in the movie scene in "Dr. No". He did not have one in the novels written by Ian Fleming. I can only assume it was the one the prop master could find and the continuity/script supervisor thought no one would notice. Of course, someone like me - grumpy old perfectionist - does and did. Having not examined the exact pistol in question, I cannot tell if it was a 1934 or 1935 Beretta; they look identical at a casual glance.

@@fatihozyavas2925 That is correct; I seem to have rushed myself and omitted that distinguishing factor. You used the metric system meaaurements, however you omitted the "SR" in the 7.65x17SR designation signifying 'semi-rimmed'. This is a far more European naming system but signifies the same item. Europe also refers to the two rounds as 7.65 Browning (it was designed by John M. Browning for Fabrique Nationale of Belgium) and 9mm Short (Kurz, Corto). In the U. S. they are well known as .32 ACP and .380 ACP. The only serious difference in the two models is the caliber. The 1934 (for the Italian Army) is what the U. S. calls .380 ACP and the 1935 (for the Italian Air Force) is the .32 ACP version.

Plumb brown' can be beautiful, if done right. Beretta doe's that well. Fun fact: they didn't have chemical bluing till just before the Civil War (hence Brown Bess).😊

I love Beretta. They're much more esthetically pleasing, and with the 180 degree slide cut an FTE is impossible. I use a 92FS or 96X Elite as my EDC and with Beretta having been in the firearms business since the 1500's they know a thing or 2 about safety meeting function. Classy weapon there. I love it.

У моего отца в СССР ,был такой Беретта М-34 ( 9х17 мм.Корто ), 1936 года выпуска в 1970-84 г.г. Он ствол ,в токарном заводе,рпзсверлил под калибр патронов 9х18 мм. с пистолета Макарова . Служил отец в милиции офицером в городе Запорожье .Я этот Беретта , держал в руках и стрелчл из него в 7 лет ,а в 13 лет игрался ,как игрушкой в доме .Патронов у отца,было очень много.
