I have that same turbine works pretty good I'm upgrading to the i700

It will be very interesting to see what power output figures you obtain in “normal” wind speeds. The biggest issue I have with these mini turbines is they all seem to be tested with unrealistically high wind speeds which most sites will only see once per year. The every day performance would be much more relevant and interesting.

What do you mean normal wind speeds? You can't fight the Math! If r = radius of the turbine in meters, v = windspeed in m/s then Power of these turbines is roughly (r*r * v*v*v) divided by (atleast)two, WATTS! 99,99% of BS videos poorly performing stuff etc comes from the fact there is no understanding what that equation means. Quick Translation: It means you need wind, a real wind to make wattage OR a big one... fact of life. ;)

Thanks for sharing. I have six turbines all different. The best ones I have are from Tesup, the Dolphin DC200 and especially the Master 940. Their controller is one of the best I have used as well.

If I understand the situation correctly Tesup and iSta Breeze are one and the same...or there's some kind of collaboration going on there. The stock footage on the site use to be the same as as what was on iSta's site. I have been interestedin trying to get one of their VAWT setups.

What is the output of your 940? Any testing with regard to watts vs. RPM ?
@simonmanners41083 жыл бұрын
@@ToysforWatts I think you are correct in that they are in close collaboration. Not sure if they are one and the same though.

@@plaintruth4637 Sorry I haven’t had any time for in depth analysis of the Master 940 yet. It is rated for 940 watt output and whilst I haven’t hit that high peak yet I think it would under the right conditions. My Master940 is connected to my 12v battery bank (2x790ah) so the output is often regulated at the set voltage on the controller. What I can tell you is it has very low wind speed startup and produces around 100watts in quite low wind. The controller uses a multi-stage diversion load so it’s not just an on/off style power delivery. The controller also lets you set the voltage at which it engages diversion which is a really good idea. I think I would use their controller even if I didn’t use their turbines. Controllers for wind turbines seem fairly poor for these smaller turbines.

@@plaintruth4637 I’m sorry to hear that. I admit I have struggled to find decent wind turbines that I can afford. One thing is almost universal it seems is the overstating turbine output. I do know a lot of factors affect the output such as battery SOC, cable gauge and length but as you state in your case nothing can help with a badly built turbine. I know a lot of people swear by Rutland turbines but they are just too expensive. Fortunately my Master940 seems so far at least to be operating as expected. I do have Hall effect current sensor on order so I can view actual current output from the rectifier before it hits diversion load. That will give me a better view of true output. The little Tesup Dolphin DC200 whilst rated for 200 watts actually has maxed out closer to 250 watts.

hate it when you export a video and its got a blank border .... but cheers for the efforts - be interesting to add it to the weekly comparisons of the bigger 2. Maybe consider resetting all the totals for/ on Jan 1st 2021 - and we can watch them build up over the calendar year with a easy reference for start

yeah I recorded it at 3840/2160 but I think I might have had the import dimensions wrong when I went to edit it. It is shot in 4k/60, though, and KZbin is still "processing" it. It might fill out in the end. I think it's the last 4k video I'm dealing with, though...it took five hours for my poor old computer to stitch the two clips together. I'm going to get this one up and find out what voltage it likes best...which will probably be 12v, iSta Breeze has been pretty accurate about target voltage...and once it's run in a bit I'll get it on a meter and log it like the others. I think I'm going to do that for all the future turbines.

I haven't done the i1000 but I have a lot of videos and info up about the i1500. They cost about the same where I am so I went with the bigger generator.

I'm sorry you experienced an ad that didn't appeal to you, but I don't get to choose ads. KZbin determines what ads you see based entirely only your browser/search preferences or, if you have personally targeted ads disabled, based on popular search preferences in your area. Everyone's ad experience is going to be different and completely out of the control of the video creators. If you're being shown inappropriate ads I strongly suggest you report them to Google using the steps outlined in the link below...I cannot myself do anything about what ads you see. support.google.com/google-ads/answer/7660847?hl=en

I have kept an eye on this. I swapped watching other videos so the advert renews itself. The adverts im getting is: What3words Ps5 games Pension policies. Maybe different countries have their own spectrum of advertising.

A great example of targeted advertising working well. 😂😂🤣 My ads were for a Swedish furniture store, so we all know what websites you’ve been browsing Marshall!
