Wild Viking Travels

Күн бұрын

Although the Turkish way of life is quite similar to Europe, then luckily there are still things that make Turkey special. One of those things is street food. This time we are in Istanbul with the goal to try as many interesting street foods as possible. From bizarre tavuk göğsü (chicken dessert) to the world-known kokoreç, we will let you know how much they cost, how they taste and bring you along on our Istanbul street food tour.
We have been in Turkey for three months now, living the van life.
Our journey here is documented in a travel vlog format.
New videos are out every Monday and Thursday evening.
We wholeheartedly want to thank Adil. He has been an absolute superstar, making sure that we are not scaring our Turkish viewers away with a problematic auto-translation function. Thank you Adil for doing the Turkish subtitles for us!

Dude, I'm Turkish, even for us, it's normal to have an exotic appetite :D here, you can be sure that most people haven't eaten these in their life. Dishes such as Mumbar and Şırdan are mostly consumed in Adana. However, since Istanbul is also a touristic place, there are plenty of such shops.
@WildVikingTravels
@WildVikingTravels 2 жыл бұрын
we noticed this as well. a lot of shops were named after other part of turkey :D. For example Antep baklava place or Trabson bakery

@@WildVikingTravels yes yes absolutely. Every city in Turkey has a famous flavor. It has become the symbol of the city. You eat the best version there. You can't get the original taste in a different city. But you can find them all in touristic places. (Although not like the original)

(when you learn Turkish alphabet you can pronounce any Turkish text because in Turkish each letter has one exact sound so it does not change word to word. you can learn how to pronounce Turkish text in "Reading Turkish lessons" named video list in my channel.

Congrats on reaching 3k subs! Two interesting ratios to look at. 1) the number of views to subscribers 2/3 views to subscribers is actually quite high, and really impressive is the number of likes to dislike in your videos! Hundreds of likes to a couple dislikes. So you guys are definitely on the move up! And new members on patreon! 😊
