Welcome back to Inflatable SUP Review! Today we’re reviewing the Body Glove Performer, which retails for $399.99. Watch the video to learn more about this board and hear our thoughts on it.
- 11 feet in length.
- Narrow profile and doesn't carry its width very far to the back and front.
- If you buy from Costco, this board will have a warranty and they are typically very good about honoring that if you have any issues. We’ll be using the warranty in the case of our ripped bag.
- Aluminum 3-piece paddle with a unique oval shape.
- Bag has a very large buckle, and backpack straps were not done upon arrival. Additionally, it came with a small tear, causing the stitching to easily come undone.
- When it comes to accessories, this board does well. An electric pump is included and comes in a mesh bag. Also included are a leash, manual pump, cell phone bag, and repair kit. The board itself has a set of tie downs for a cooler, a triple tie down in the front, a GoPro mount, a tow mount, and a handle to hold a water bottle or paddle. However, the three fixed fins are not removable, which makes it a little difficult to get the board zipped back into the bag.
- Inflation took 8 minutes and 41 seconds with the Hyperlite pump, then 12 minutes and 11 seconds with the included Body Glove pump.
- Weighs 22 pounds, 14 ounces.
- The board is pretty flexible with the most deflection of any board we’ve reviewed so far.
- This board is a great price, but less accessories and more focus on a nicer pump with a deflation valve and a higher quality bag would have given this board more value.
- This board has a nice set of accessories; the GoPro and tow mounts are unique touches. However, it would have been nice to have soft touch loops on the handle and the back of the board.
