ISUZU D-MAX Auto Window Module | Trac Electronics | 2021 DMAX X-Terrain Build-Up Series #9

In this vid we're working on the 2021 Isuzu D-MAX and installing a 2021 Isuzu D-MAX Auto Window Module from Trac Electronics. This auto window module adds some extra smarts to the D-Max by giving some addtional options for the power windows as listed below. Very cool!

Operating features:
- Auto window up
- Using the key remote to lower all windows vehicle remains unlocked
- Pausing window opening / closing
- When ignition is on all windows become one touch auto up/down function from the driver’s window switch panel by depressing each individual switch for half a second.
- All windows retract down slightly
- Lock vehicle without closing windows

⏩ Where did this start?
I really enjoy tinkering with different projects - they usually require a whole bunch of research and learning along the way. It's satisfying on doing a thing and standing back and going 'Yeah! Totally did that!'. I had a bunch of mates asking 'how did you know how to do that?' and 'I couldn't never do that myself so I thought; I need to start something where I can help others that might be thinking the same thing :)

The purpose is simply to make these videos as top quality and helpful as I can. They will always be free, there's ZERO agenda and the only motive is to try and upload what I would want to watch to help with that particular project. ⏩ What's with the gloves?
Not after any KZbin fame here which is why I'm not in the vids - they're not about me they're about the how-to! I used the gloves for the first couple of projects I filmed which just happened to be messy ones and it kinda just became a thing. Plus adds a little more personality I guess :)

Great videos, Most car manufactures for the last 10 years have had the auto up & down already intergraded in the key. It's a hidden feature that not many know about. When you press unlock on the key hold it for at least 5secs and the windows will go down, more you hold it the more the windows come down and its the same for windows up, hold the lock button.

Oh really? Does this work for the dmax? The thing I love with this little module is when you walk away from the car when the proximity key kicks the car it closes all the windows too

For the auto mirror module it has to be a model that has the electronic mirrors. As far as I know it still works on non prox keys as well but I'd check their website for a full compatibility list

Cheers for the vids. Am defo adding a couple of these mods. But, do you know if there’s a mod or over-ride for the child lock for the windows. Is there any way to enable the rear and passenger window to operate from the drivers switch once the child lock is engaged, or better, to separate the passenger window from the rear windows child lock? Such a useless set up with the factory default

Hey, you can use a button combo to crack the windows, and repeat to wind down further. There's a few different combos you can do via the buttons, checkout the Trac website for full details 👍

Yep if you've got the xt with proximity key out sure does. Is awesome, can leave everything open walk away and it closes everything and locks

Hey mate, I actually got the two separate modules shown in the vids but Trac now sells them as a combined unit. Worth shooting them an email if unsure, mention the vid, great customer service
