Why create a second channel?

my ac compressor keeps blowing (clutch siezed and rips the ac belt) Ive bought four seasons, another aftermarket, and now denso. replaced twice now. I charge it up to spec and it blows weak (barely cold) even after running for a bit. Cant quite figure out why the compressor keeps dying on me. Someone said its the expansion valve... I dont understnad why it could be the expansion valve when the compressor is the one blowing? whats happening here? bad compressors? incorrect charge? could it be something i could check before tackaling the expansion valve? thanks in advance
