It's hard for me to wrap my brain around her body needing to produce fuel (i.e. breast milk) for her child, as well as the subsequent energy requirements of Ironman training, recovery, and the rest of motherhood and adulting. Nutrition and recovery must have to be so dialed in. I am in awe and respect of Rinny as an athlete, mother, and overall person. Truly inspiring.

If people really knew how hard everything you do really is behind the scenes. It takes a team and how you balance it all is beautiful and inspirational. Thank you for sharing. You’re such an amazing mommy. We love you guys! Keep it up Rinny!

As a father of three little kids who trains for half and full ironman races, I know the difficulties of training when you have other responsibilities, it is hard, and I'm the dad, even harder for mothers, but for Rinny, it is even MUCH harder because on top of all that she is trying to be competitive in the PRO field. I cannot wrap my head around it. It must be the hardest thing both physically and mentally. I admire you even more Rinny.

Any tips for parents trying to balance it all? I’m looking in to getting a jogging stroller to help for in workouts

I nursed all my children and to see you so dedicated to nursing with training shows your dedication as a mother also. The best thing you can do is nurse. They are definitely healthier and I have heard better athletes! Most importantly is not just lots of calories but lots and lots of fluids.

Such a tough thing to do. Postpartum body and hormone changes in addition to doing your best to get a workout in. It takes a massive effort

Let's be real...am a huge tri fan... Please priotize...kids and family first..you will never win another ironman...you are a mom..which is good..main focus is how to earn a salary to support your family as a non triathlete..i am concerned that you and your husband...tim...who suffered a heart attack don't have the skills to survive in a non tri environment unless you do some on line coaching...no wins means no sponsors
