one guy with a flag will not stop players fighting whether it's football, rugby union/league etc. I see it all the time. it was not poor officiating; once punches are thrown NO REFEREE will get in the middle of them. so shut your mouth. having the touch judge a few meters closer would not have avoided 'ALL OF THIS"

Blue player should have been red carded as well. You can see the yellow player properly choked which is why he lashed out. Gwaze was right to be red carded, you MUST NOT under any circumstances lift an injured player off the ground. You could potentially cause great damage particularly their necks. Just like Mako Vunipola did to Cheslin Kolbe during the Lion's tour last year. Fool could have caused serious neck injury.
@j1gs4wcobra612 жыл бұрын
Halifax player should have had a red, the other red was fair but picking up a “faking” injured player is a red card? What a joke 😂

Your comment is a joke. There's no way to know if he faked the injury. You must not ever pick up a player who is injured on the floor.

Big responsibilities of the referee who had to blow the whistle before the repeated neck tackle, preventing all chain reactions

@@blizzard6741 the last thing the ref want to do is add fuel to the fire. He is controlling the situation very well. Wait for the fight to cool down, then separate the two teams. Then finally giving out cards. Just imagine if he comes straight into the tussle and gives out cards. Out of confusion, he might get punched too. That's not slow, that's professional refereeing.

The hybrid game that makes a mockery of scrums and line outs filled with players not good enough for the real tough game. The only time this hybrid game is exciting is when the defence isn’t reset each stop start play and open play resembles the original game.

Ah jeez... Rugby is so much more entertaining to watch when your not going backwards and kicking it every 15 seconds but each to their own.
@Jamie-ye7fu Жыл бұрын
rugby league used to have all the same rules but we changed them because they are awful, the same way you have become increasingly more like league every single year. 50/22, goal-line dropout, uncompetitive scrums, uncompetitive rucks, and now you are even talking about getting rid of mauls. the fact is that if the codes never split union would look exactly what league looks like today. but go ahead and enjoy 35 mins of ball in play, higher retention after initial tackle contact, fewer phases per possession, fewer passes per phase, box kicks. thrilling stuff.
@Homophobicpride Жыл бұрын
@@Jamie-ye7fu rugby league was invented by the working class because they were getting hurt in the real game on the weekends and couldn’t afford to be off work. Time has eroded the truth. There are only 4 places that care for league. QLD, NSW, PNG and South Auckland. Nobody else cares. League is too one dimensional and boring.
@Jamie-ye7fu Жыл бұрын
@@Homophobicpride yes and they adopted exactly the same rules at first. everyone knows the story about broken time payments no one has eroded that truth, it's a proud part of RL's history that they shout about. they didn't create new laws immediately they merely created a new administration hence my point. this dimensional stuff is such a myth said by people who don't understand league and think it's just exactly the same as union minus rules and not completely different rules with laws that don't exist in union. post-contact battle for metres is just one "dimension" that exists in league that doesn't in union. less is more has meant more individual freedom on the ball and attacking and defensive structures that's akin to NFL. league's gameplay beats union in every metric; passes per phase, more turnovers after initial tackle contact, more ball in play, more ball running, less kicks per phase, less penalties per phase. mauls are oh so exciting until you watch the exact same penalty, kick to touch, line out, maul, try, predictable nonsense that happened 4 times in the England six nations match just last week. and popularity ≠ superiority, at university I've met people who have attended union matches and didn't even know league existed - you can't dislike something you aren't aware about - there's a lot more factors at play. for example, do some research into why league went from being the dominant code pre-WW2, to union being the dominant code circa 1941 (spoiler: it's not because the public just preferred union).
@Homophobicpride Жыл бұрын
@@Jamie-ye7fu you make your point but we will never convince each other. Most of the world follows union for a reason.
