Not gonna lie, watching this really does show what New York is capable of! Despite being a concrete jungle, these new buildings and parks all over really add a lot of greenery and make the city look futuristic at the same time, and that skyline view must look GODLY at night! $4700 a month for that doesn't sound too bad (by NY standards if you have the right job or a roommate/spouse who can help you cover it) and the amenities in that building, especially that beach floor was NICE! Just those little touches that show "Well we don't have a beach and we don't have nature, but we can make you think we do!". Compared to the old dingy apartments that look nice on the inside but built a century ago on the outside, this modernized look is really welcome. And I swear that Sugar factory is giving me some MAD Donkey Kong Country/Banjo Tooie vibes with how it looks like a level in a video game. It's almost a shame they're converting it, but it makes sense, still part of me hopes for style points they keep the "old factory house" aesthetic inside some areas. Just kind of a shame when you go inside a building and it looks like every other modern apartment in the US. Sometimes you kind of want the charm to bleed inside too. Also the "steps to their appointed leader" thing about 9 minutes in had me on the floor! XD but those garden terraces are what I wish we had in Virginia! Those are ALWAYS nice to add some greenery in a city where Grass and trees pay more rent than we do.
@AaronSmith-kr5yf Жыл бұрын
Its the "Beetlejuice" bathroom lol. We can debate price all day long here, but man that building has a ton of amenities and hang out spaces outside the apartment. Also looks like the finishes/construction are first rate, just look at the herringbone pattern on that wood floor. It looks like actual real hardwood as well, not the cheap stuff pretending to be wood. Windows are soundproof, kitchen looks really well finished/thought out with a ton of counter/cabinet space considering how small it is. Only thing is don't get attached to that view if you want to live here long term. I'm sure in the next couple years there will be a few more towers built closer to the river obstructing your view.
