Jed Beaton is one of the few Australians recently that has been able to become a staple in the MXGP paddock. After heading over to race for an underfunded privateer Honda team, Jed has since worked his way through the ranks to earn a factory Husky ride to finish his MX2 career and now make his 450 debut in 2022. Jed rode out of his skin at the first round showing everyone the speed and fitness he has to work with, but an injury has since slowed him down. Going from motocross to road racing is actually a big advantage. We all usually go pretty quick quite early on because we are used to a sliding bike and have good intuition on throttle control and bike geometry

being a passenger on a bike is more extreme as a physical experience than being the rider. your body doesnt have time to prepare for whats happening. when your the guy making the inputs, you prepare yourself for it and can brace at all the right times.

You can’t sleep on how tiring riding a sport bike in proper positioning is. Sure it’s not as physically taxing as running an MX race but it’s not easy either
